His fist just kept coming at me no matter how much I tried and matter how much I screamed. I was screaming at the top of my lungs and no one was around to hear me and all I saw was his fist over and over again. I tried everything in my power but nothing seemed to even make a scratch. All of sudden in the background someone was saying Alex, Alex, Alex, ALEX! No matter how hard I tried I couldn't fight him off and then I woke up. Jane was over me shaking me awake. Her face looked horrified as if I was a ghost.
" Alex are you okay?!" Then I realized the sheets where wrapped around me, the blanket was on the floor, the pillow was at the bottom off the bed, I was sweating really hardly and my fists were clenched.
" I just keep seeing his fist over and over and over again...."
"Alex I did the same thing. You can't let them scare you have to know that beat him he's in jail now you know that. He can't hurt you, you won. Do you want me to sleep with you?"
"Yes only if you want to. I mean your bed is probably where you want to be...."
"No get that out of your head I want to help you! I will always be here for you. I'm not just going to dump you like your family did." We didn't talk anymore after that and I relaxed at the thought of my father being behind bars and not able to hurt me. I didn't have another bad dream with Jane by my side. Sleeping in different rooms doesn't really count as a sleepover so I had my first ever sleepover. The next day was another big adventure.
