By then I was in complete shock but that was going to have to wait because the fingerprint expert and the officer that had arrested my dad were at the door.
"Your mom and brother seemed to have trashed this house," he said. He was looking straight at me. "Why don't we have a talk missy," he was still looking straight at me. Seeing the condition of my leg he said "if everyone could please leave the room so I can have a private talk with Miss. Alex here." Everyone left and I got really nervous, so nervous that I started shaking I mean really bad.
"So tell me about your life with your parents."
"Well umm well." By then my voice was shaking really badly and the police reached out to touch me to try to calm me down but all I could see was my dad when he was beating me, and I tried to run away but that didn't work because of my leg and so I fell and hit my face on the corner of the dresser. After everyone heard me fall they came running in.
"What happened?!" Mr. Morris demanded to know as he came to help me up.
"I don't know sir all I did was try to touch to get her to stop shaking and she took off and hit her face on the dresser." And that is the exact moment when my nose started bleeding. Mr. Morris carried me into the bathroom in my room and had me get in the shower. He turned on the water he held the shower head so I didn't get wet and I put my head down as the blood ran down. I was shaking and breathing too hard to cry I was mentally freaking out. My face hurt and all I could see was my dad's fist coming at me again and again. After a few minutes in the shower I started to calm down and I realized blood was also coming out of the large cut on my face. I looked over at the mirror and it didn't seem like I would need stitches. After another minute or two the blood stopped and I got out I and sat on my bed. The police were out of my room and Mr. Morris seemed really concerned about me.
"Alex your face is started to swell we should take you to the hospital."
"Oh no Mr. Morris I will be o-" but before I could get the word okay out I had paramedics putting me on a stretcher and back into the ambulance. Jane and Mr. Morris rode with me but I couldn't really say much since they were messing with my face. I could see the fear in Jane's eyes and she knew why I ran away from that police officer.
