Emma's Pov
Today I was hanging around Minho as soon as he got back from running the Maze. I had asked him time and again if I could have a running partner and all he replied with was a shrug. It wasn't like I was scared, I just got really lonely sometimes. We were friends but I really wanted to be much more. But sadly, Minho only saw us as friends and nothing more. It was depressing to sat the least. It was getting harder and harder everyday to keep my feelings from him. We were finishing up the final touches to mapping our sections today.
" Hey Emma? " He asked almost nervously.
" What's up?" I replied completely confused. Minho was never nervous.
" Can you get dressed up and meet me back here in the Map room at around seven?"
" Yeah sure. Any particular reason why?"
" I just really need to tell you something."
I nodded my head and walked out. What did he need to tell me? And why couldn't he in there? It was around five thirty so I really needed to get ready. I had no idea what to wear so I went and brought my best friends Thomas and Gally to help me. I know they are guys but they were the best I had. After a while I shooed them out so I could get changed. I really hope tonight goes well.
Minho's Pov
I was really worried about tonight. I hoped that she would say yes. I really needed to find Thomas or Gally. They knew her best and they could tell me if my plan was going work. I sighed in relief as I spotted them in the distance. I ran up to them and they looked confused.
"Hey guys. I need your advice," I asked while scratching the back of my neck.
" Wow Minho. Since when us Minho nervous ? And when does he need our advice?" Gally snickered
" I'm serious."
" What's up Minho?" Thomas asked.
" Do you think it's too much if I make a dinner for Emma and ask her to be my..."
" Girlfriend?" Gally asked almost excitedly.
I furrowed my eyebrows. What were they talking about? " No. I want her to be my running partner. "
They looked to each other and gulp. If I wasn't confused before I was now. Thomas nodded his head, gave me a thumbs up, and the two of them walked off. I glanced at my watch to see it was time. I quickly made my way to the map room when I ran into Emma. I ushered her into the map room and she gasped seeing the candlelit dinner I had prepared for us.
Emma's Pov
Minho was being really sweet. Maybe he really does like me. We sat down and enjoyed the spaghetti he made for us.
" What did you need to ask me?" I asked.
" Emma, I've been thinking about this for a while now. Would you like to be my." I was extremely nervous. Be his what?
" Will you be my running partner?"
" Sure." I smiled weakly. That was not what I had expected.
