Emma's Pov
For the rest of our dinner I had to keep a fake smile on my face. To be honest, I was upset. I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. Why would Minho ever like someone like me? Once we were done I ran off to Thomas ' s room. I busted in and ran up to him crying my eyes out. He didn't question me. He held me in his embrace.
" I know. Minho told us what he was going to ask you, it'll be okay," Thomas cooed.
That night I slept in Thomas ' s room. I was dreading every moment of tomorrow being Minho's new partner. Perfect.
Minho's Pov
Emma and I have been running together for a few weeks now. Spending all this time with her made me realize that I like her. How was I so blind to not see how beautiful and amazing she was. I noticed that she had been acting a little distant from me lately. That made me worried. But I knew I had to make her mine before some other shank did. The thought of her with someone else made me sick. I don't know if I could take that. I had finally decided I was going to ask her to be my girlfriend. I needed some help first. I ran to the first person who came to my mind, Thomas. I knocked on his door and he opened it.
" I need your help again. I want to ask Emma to be my girlfriend. What should I do? " I rambled on.
" Relax. Don't tell her I told you this, but she's liked you for a long time. Don't stress. Whatever you are going to do, I'm sure she'll say yes," Thomas said while he patted me on the back. Emma like me? My confidence boosted and I now had nothing to worry about. With Thomas ' s help, we arranged something for her in the Deadheads. All I had to do was find Emma. I checked the mess hall and her room. I came upon the Map room and I heard two voices inside. They belonged to Emma and Ben. Curious. I poked my head in the door without them noticing. My heart shattered when Ben leaned in and kissed her. I shot up and went to my room, tears threatening to spill. She already moved on? That's not how I expected this night to go.
