Y/n POV
"We're here." Mama said as I got out the car. I didn't have anything to bring but my self. We lost what we had left in the fire.
"What's'ammm?" My dad said walking down the steps smiling. He gave me a fist bump and a hug before walking up to my mom.
"Hey," she said as I watched their interaction.
"Hey," he said back.
"Thank you, for doing this." She said looking over at me.
"Bout time anyways. Just hate it had to be like this." He said as she nodded slowly. "You know you can stay here too," he said grabbing her chin lifting her head up.
"Mm mmm. We're not doing that Corey. Y/n just gone stay here until I get back on my feet." She backed away as he smacked his teeth looking off, squinting at the glare from the sun.
"Why you just ain't ask me for it?" He asked her like he genuinely wanted to know.
"Because I know asking you for anything, comes with something. And I ain't willing to pay that price." She said as he chuckled.
