A Rouge with Powers

Chapter 47

"Two in the back, three inside, and four in the front." Cade told me after he did a once over of the building. We were currently looking at a small industrial building with two stories, it looked a bit run down. It sat in the middle of the woods about ten miles out of Jax's territory. After Clara told us where they were holding her brother I decided to leave immediately knowing that there was no time to waste. The faster I got her brother out of harm, the better. I scanned the building looking for the best way to approach, with only two windows at the top and one small beat up door in the center of the building. The rouges never stopped walking, staying on alert. It would be difficult to catch them off guard.

"Were you able to see the boy?" I asked Cade.

"No, if he's in there then they are keeping him locked up. My guess upstairs." I nodded in understanding, I had to figure out the best way to do this. It had to be quick so they could not send out some kind of distress signal. I was not worried about failing, I was worried they would call backup. Jax was right about one thing, I was risking a lot coming out here. I was an easy target on unclaimed land. There was going to be a lot more rouges wandering about and less protection. I looked back to the small group I put together, Cade, Tyler, Giles, Kylo, and another warrior I just met. It was all I had to help me with this. 

"How are we doing this?" Tyler asked, we were crouched down about twenty feet away behind some bushes. I peeked out to get another look, two out of the four in the front consistently rotated their patrol. 

"I'll have two of you come from the back, quick and quiet takedowns are recommended. Two of you will come from the right and another two from the left. I don't want to spook the three inside. If I'm correct those three will have whatever type of communication to signal for backup. Remember quick and quiet takedowns. Once we have the outside secure then we go in." They all nodded, we each split up in twos as we got into position. Tyler and Kylo went to the back, Cade and the other warrior went to the right as Giles and I went to the left. I had them hold their positions as I waited for the two rouges to make their patrol walk. Once they got far enough away from the other two in the front I would give the signal. I watched as they started walking away from the front. 

Get ready

I mind linked Cade as I waited for the right second, just a few more feet and they would be far enough. Giles kept his eyes forward as he watched them, I kept my eyes on their feet as they continued walking casually chatting with each other completely unaware that they were about to get ambushed.

Go

I quietly jumped out of the bush I was hiding in as I ran up behind the rouge. I wrapped my arm around the rouges' neck as I squeezed hard, the rouge put up a struggle. Once I had a good hold on him, I pulled out my dagger and stabbed him in the chest. A second later his body went limp as I carefully placed him on the floor just as Giles had did the same thing. I looked towards the back of the building to see Tyler and Kylo walking over as they had finished with their two as well as Cade and his partner. We all gathered in front of the door, quietly.

"If I'm correct, there's two downstairs and one upstairs with the boy." I slowly opened the door to get a look at a what we were dealing with. I peek my head down low as I scan the room, it's mainly empty aside from the small couch and a table with a couple plastic chairs. One rouge is sitting down with his back facing us as the other one perched up against the wall near the stairs. farther into the room. 

"Okay, Tyler and I will go in and take care of the two. I'll come and get the rest of you once we clear it out." I tell them, they nod. I look at Tyler as I take a deep breath.

"Tyler go for the one in the chair, I'll take care of the one by the stairs, there's a couch just a few feet from the door we could take cover there until the time is right." I inform him, I look over to Cade.
