"We will need to patrol the tree lines, not in the woods because that will give them the element of surprise. Out in the open will be our best shot." Jax runs his finger over the map on the outline of the opening where the woods ends.

"But your territory ends over a mile into the woods, if there is no one in there then we won't know when they are coming." Zane speaks, he is right, bringing the fight in the open is smart but we won't be prepared for when they charge at us.

"What about posting scouts in the trees?" I suggest, if we have a few scouts posted in trees then we could at least have some kind preparation for when they charge at us.

"That's a good idea, we can have a handful in trees, put some of our weaker warriors up there. No contact just our eyes." Jax nods.

"Jen, I'll have you in charge of making sure all the wolves who can't fight and pups gathered in our cellar. There's one way in and out, I'll have a few warriors with you just in case you get attacked." He looks at Jen, she nods in understanding.

"We will mix up our teams, so each of our packs are working together." Oliver and Tyler nods, the plan seems solid. But why do I still feel uneasy?

"Jax, do you have warriors you trust the most?" I ask him, he gives me a nod in response.

"I think that each one of your most trusted warriors should be in different teams. So if they notice something weird or someone acting suspiciously then we will know almost immediately." We still have not figured out who the traitor is in his pack. This could be our chance.

"Right, we could finally get the chance to find the traitor." Everyone in the room looks our way.

"Traitor?" Zane asks, I figured Jax had kept that under wraps.

"I've suspected it for a while. But I did not who to trust and I had no evidence so I kept quiet." Jax runs his chin, deep in thought.

"Zane, round up everyone you trust, I've got a few in mind as well. We will have teams of about twenty maybe more. Tyler, Oliver the same with you. We need to have eyes everywhere. We also need to check for searcher marks. We will have a female and male to check each one. Leave that to Oaks and I."

"Can I help out Oakley? I want to see for myself." Mia joins in, she still seems to be bothered about the whole thing. I wouldn't blame her for feeling that way, knowing her own warriors were taking wolves in her pack to the enemy.

"I would like that." I smile towards her, knowing that she probably needs this. Jax agrees as he looks over to Giles.

"Are you willing to help us fight?" Giles looks over at me, he's quiet for a moment.

"I haven't fought in a long time, but yes I'll help wherever you need me." I give him a smile, he really was trying for me. Something in my chest filled with an emotion I was not familiar with.

"Okay, I'll have you with us." Jax motioned to Jax and I.

"Zane, you will be posted with the east side. Cade you'll be on the west, Oliver and Mia you'll take the south. Tyler you will take the north. Oaks, Giles, and I will take the center. We don't know where they will be coming from but it's best to be prepared for anything."

"When do you think they will attack?" Tyler asks. Jax looked over to me, I know them the best. The Potts never do anything on a set schedule, but I'm assuming they'll wait out the full three days if we are lucky.

"They gave me three days. Today is the third day so we are hoping sometime tomorrow." They were unpredictable, and dangerous.

"They like to be a wild card. Catch their targets when they least expect it." We turned our heads towards Giles as he had his hand on his chin as he spoke. I had forgotten that he followed them for months to find Chris and I. He probably knew more about them than most of us here. The group gave him questioning looks as he seemed not to notice. His face was pulled into what looked like anger mixed in with concentration.
