Blood, there was blood everywhere with every step I took. My legs were out of my control, leading me somewhere I was unsure of. It felt like I was not in control of my own body, wolves and rouges were fighting each other all around me but I couldn't stop walking. I was in the middle of total chaos that seemed to disperse when I passed like an ocean splitting in two.
"Oakley!" I could hear my name from behind, calling me but every bone in my body told me to keep walking away. The voice was familiar and safe and I wanted to turn around and head to the source, it felt safer than where I was headed. My body was betraying me and there was nothing I could do about it. I screamed at myself to stop, but it was like I was puppet in my own body and someone else was pulling the strings. The screaming and yelling started to fade as I walked, the sounds of flesh ripping apart and bodies dropping rang in my ears. I wanted it to stop, I wanted all the killing to stop. Tears rimmed my eyes and all I could do was walk through it.
"Please Oaks stop!" The same voice cried out, the more I walked the intensity of the battle grew, it wasn't just wolves fighting anymore but vampires, other shifters, elves, trolls, and even the Fae were fighting now. I could feel tears running down my face, but I could feel nothing. No anger, no sadness, nothing. I felt like an empty shell like a switched was flipped off inside of me. Then the fighting started to slow like the world around me was slowing down. I could see everyone still fighting but now it felt like time was moving slowly around me. I had a front row seat to all of it, a literal walking nightmare.
"Stop!" I tried telling myself but I couldn't, all I could do was walk. My feet were covered in the blood of the fallen around me. Then when I thought I was never going to get out of this gruesome battlefield, I saw an opening. The end of the fighting, three silhouettes formed just past the line of fighting. I could not make out who they were, all I knew was that I was headed straight for them. Once I got close enough to see who the figures were it felt like my whole world shattered.
"I told you my dear, you would be mine." His hand caressed my face, I wanted to back away from his touch but I was frozen in place. A smirk plastered on his face, his piercing blue eyes held a sinister determination. He lifted his hand as he wanted to show me what he was holding.
An empty serum needle with the remnants of a green liquid inside.
"You will destroy the world for me."
I shot upright, a guttural scream escaping my mouth. I could feel sweat coating my whole body as I tried catching my breath. I pushed the blankets away from me as I climbed off the bed, falling to my knees. The hard cold floor attempting to cool down my body but it wasn't enough, my heart was pounding in my chest creating a thumping rhythm throughout my whole body. I frantically looked around my surroundings trying to find a better way to cool off. I saw the moonlight creeping in from the curtains, the balcony. I had to get to the balcony. I scrambled to my feet trying to get to the sliding glass door, my feet failed me as I tried to stand up. I attempted to stand up again, I was successful as I dashed towards the balcony not wasting a second on my feet. Once I was able to get the door open I flung myself outside crashing into the railing, the cool wind of the night hitting my hot skin.
"Oaks?" A hand grazed my shoulder and I jumped pushing whoever touched me away.
"No!" I screamed, I gripped the railing with both hands tightly as I tried to calm down. My head was spinning with the images of the blood and fighting. Images of Hopper smirking at me telling me he finally had me under his control bombarded my vision. I tried blinking them away but it wasn't working, it was like the images were permanently engraved in my head.
"Oakley, it was just a nightmare! It's not real!" I was swiftly turned around, two hands cupped my face forcing me to look at them. A set of green eyes was all I could see, panicked green eyes moving frantically over my face. Suddenly my breathing was going back to normal and I was starting to cool down as I kept my gaze locked on those green eyes. I raised a shaky hand to one of Jax's hands holding my face placing it on top of his.
