Red glowing eyes everywhere, they were rushing towards us at inhuman speed. I gripped my dagger tightly as I got ready for what was to come. I could hear the sounds of fighting starting at the tree line. Screams and shouts were all I could hear, the darkness enveloped us in a black battlefield.
This was it, this was their attack. They sent monsters out to kill us all instead of coming out themselves. I lowered to the ground, spreading my feet out, getting ready to pounce as they gained on us. I could hear the guttural screams these monster made, their feet pounding hard as they got closer.
"They're getting close, you ready for a fight?" I looked at Jax on my side, a smile crept its way onto my face. I did not want violence, I did not want to fight. But I was angry and this was the perfect outlet to let it all out. Angry at the Potts, angry at Aaron for being easy to manipulate. Angry for the lie I lived all my life, angry I never got to grow up with Chris, angry at the searchers. But most of all I was angry that because I wanted to live a quiet life, all these innocent people had to die for their sick and twisted plans. I had enough, I was done crying, done with running. If they wanted me then they will have to fight their way to me.
Not waiting for his answer, I took off headed right into the horde of Wolfssegen. It was time to test out this dagger, to see if it really did kill instantly. I could feel the power surge through me as I ran, I lifted my dagger as I cut through the first monster, he fell down instantly. I cut through a few more, each dropping the second the blade hit their skin. I slowed down as I was in the middle of the horde, they came at me all at once. I slashed and kicked to keep them at an arms distance, one lunged from above. I dropped to my knees as I slashed upwards, jumping back up I went for the closest as I shoved the dagger into its chest. One from behind clawed my back, I yelped but it did not falter me. I elbowed the monster in the face with my free arm, knocking back. I used my foot to kick the dead monster away, freeing my dagger as I swiftly turned and shoved the blade into another head. I kicked it back knocking a few down with it, giving me some time to focus on the ones behind me. I lunged for the one in front of me as I dug the dagger into its chest, his red glowing eyes faded as I pushed him away from me. I continued this dance of slashing and cutting as the horde did not seem to dwindle down, like they were never ending.
I could see Jax and Giles fighting a few feet away dealing with their own groups of Wolfssegen, they looked like they were handling themselves pretty well. I turned back to the monsters, twirling the dagger in my hand as I was no where close to feeling better, I still had plenty of anger to take out on them. I kicked one in the stomach as I went to my right, slashing the throat of another. I flipped around as I went for another and another, I kicked another, punched another, slashed and cut others. The bodies were dropping quickly around me, making it hard to move where I was. I had to move farther in, I had to give myself my room before I lost my footing. A loud scream caught my attention, I turned towards the tree line. I squinted my eyes to see what was happening, the teams of warriors seemed to be having a hard time. I felt a claw run down my arm, bringing me back to the monsters around me. I snarled as I jumped, bringing the monster down as I shoved the dagger into its head. I jumped to my feet as three more came at me, I went for the right one as I cut its throat. I twirled as I dug the dagger into the second one, kicking the last one away so I can get my dagger back. I threw it right into the chest of the third one, making it drop instantly to the ground.
"Jax, I'm going to help the teams on the tree line!" I shout as I kneeled down to grab my dagger. I was pumping with adrenaline and excitement. I was pumped with energy, and I could not get enough of it. I noticed that most of the monsters were already dead, I was not needed here anymore. Jax and Giles were fighting the last of them, I started running towards the east tree line. The patrols were having a hard time taking down the monsters, I picked up the pace as I saw a wolf pinned down by one of the monsters. I slammed right into it, we rolled a bit. Once we stopped, the monster was on top of me trying to claw at me. I grabbed its throat as I held it away from me the best I can. I rammed the dagger into its chest with my free hand. The monster went limp, I threw it off of me. Getting to my feet, I went to help up the warrior who was trying to recover. I held my hand out for him, he graciously took it, I pulled him to his feet.
