In which everyone sees the love

"So then Maaz stole the police mans car keys and even though I told him that was bad we drove off and finally made it to Laith." I finish off with a sigh and rub my forehead, who knew storytelling would be so hard.

"YOU STOLE A POLICE MAN'S CAR?!" A different voice, or three may I add, shriek from the entry to the living room and we all turn our heads to see the three sisters.

They all rush in and tumble onto Maaz hugging and gushing about how they missed him so.

I'm met with the same and I struggle to breath as they all swarm me. "Okay okay, get off her we don't want her to die." Maaz says rolling his eyes and trying to get his sisters off me.

They immediately get up, gasping very dramatically, "what did you say?" Maira says.

Before Maaz can reply though, the younger of the three, Minha, bursts out, "HE SAYS HE DOESNT WANT HER DEAD!"

"WHICH MEANS HE DOESN'T HATE HER ANYMORE OH MY ALLAH, THE SHIP IS SAILING, MANIA FOR LIFE!" They all say at once before dancing around with their grandma who claps along while saying, "yay! Yay! I love ships!"

Even their mom starts smiling, Laith sits there with the most confused face as he tries to get away from grandmas cheek pinching.

Maaz and I awkwardly glance away from each other and I feel my cheeks redden as they continue yelling about how Maaz likes me. Pssshhhh what lies.

"OH LOOK THE GIRLS BLUSHING, SHES TURNING INTO A TOMATO, SOMEONE CALL THE VEGGI POLICE QUICK!" Maaz's grandma suddenly yells, pointing at me and patting my head, quite hardly may I add.

Maaz rolls his eyes and stands up, he turns his grandma gently away from me and says, "shut up all of you," but doesn't say anything else. And by that I mean he doesn't deny anything they say.

Insert breathing problems here. He ain't denying it.

The three sisters look at us before grinning, before we know it, the three of them huddle up with Laith, Maaz's mom, and grandma before they start whispering excitedly.

Maaz and I share a look before sighing and waiting for them to finish their antics.

Mahum's pov (Maaz's eldest sister)

I huddle everyone not including Maaz and Rania and whisper excitedly, "does anyone else see it."

Minha, and Maira nod happily and grandma follows wanting to be part of everything, I look at Rania's brother and my mom, "please tell me you see it."

Laith scowls and says, "see what?!"

Maira scowls back, even harder, and says, "the love."

Our mom smiles and nods when she realizes what we're talking about. "He blushes whenever she looks at him, it's bright and clear."

We all high five except for Laith who sits there glaring at nothing, "they can't be in love! I won't allow it!" He says grouchily.

"You can't get in front of something that's natural!" I gush out and he finally looks up at me, glaring. I flinch under his hard gaze but keep steady, it's gonna take a lot to convince this fella.

"B-but she's too young to be in love!" He finally bursts out and we all shush at him to be quiet so Maaz and Rania don't hear. Laith rolls his eyes and repeats what he said before, but in a whisper.

"Laith, dear, what's the real reason that's bothering you," my mother speaks out in an affectionate tone while putting a hand on his head.

He grabs her hand and gives it a light pat. Our family has become so close to Laith and Rania, nobody here is afraid to admit how deeply we care for one another, my mother practically thinks of them as her own children. Which I think is great for them, there have been many times when Rania has come to either one of us or my mother. Seeing as her's is never there and some things just can't be shared with your brother.

"Aunty...it's just that I don't want to lose her....she's the only person that I have left." He finally admits, eyes glazed with moisture, "every time I get up in the middle of the night to check up on her is every time I feel warm inside. Whenever our parents leave for another of their trips I see her at her worst state, they've been doing this since I was only four and I've gotten way past it but Rania hasn't and I..I don't know I just love her a lot to loose her."

We all sniffle as he finishes off, my mother and grandma hug him tight as we give encouraging smiles. His words bring tears to our eyes and I've realized that it's not him being a silly overprotective brother, it's him being a caring, loving family, the mom, the dad and the brother, all at the same time.

"Son, you won't ever loose her, knowing Rania, she would never leave you," Maira interrupts through my mother's words by saying, "if you want you can live with us too after they get married." She exclaims excitedly.

My mother shushes her before continuing, "loosen your roots on her a bit, let her feel the sunshine," she says and we all smile gently as a Laith takes in her words. From behind us Rania laughs at something Maaz says and Laith finally shows some kind of emotion and grins brightly, "alright, for her happiness I'll do anything."

We let grandma and our mom hug him before trampling on ourselves just so this sort of family hug is a bit halal.

Rania's pov

I chuckle as Maaz finishes off whispering a joke he made up to me. While they were huddling over there Maaz decided it was the right time to crack out his jokes.

"I made you laugh seven times," he says chuckling lightly himself.

I feel my cheeks redden, I'm not usually one to laugh at jokes, normally just smiling or grinning but Maaz has a way of bringing it out from me.

I'm about to say something when Laith suddenly comes over and bear hugs me before fake sobbing into my shoulder, "what the heck?" I say to the the woman behind him as I pat his back, "why is he crying like this?" I say laughing a bit at the end.

They all grin at each other while Maaz and I sit there confused and his grandma dances weirdly in the background.

Laith sobs harder as they all burst out at once, "you're getting married!!"

I push Laith off and he stops his dramatic ways, I raise my eyebrows at them in a confused way as I say, "am I really? To who?"

Their grins light up the whole room as they yell, "TO MAAZ!"

And that's when I faint as Maaz starts running around in circles and screaming.
