Rania's pov
I groan and smush my head into the sofa as Laith stands above me. I can sense him rolling his eyes and groan again. "Rania stop acting like a child it's just three days," he says before plopping himself down beside my head.
"Three days full off loudness, and aunties, and cheek pinching, and itchy dresses, and--" he pushes my head back into the sofa mumbling my words. I push his hand away and sit up crossing my hands across my chest.
"Trust me if I knew before I would've told you but I didn't so suck it up and go pack, make sure you're up early tomorrow I'm not going to wake you up." I roll my eyes and saying, "how come, I thought you were my alarm clock?"
"Cuz I have to go to work first, if you're not up, ask your friend to drive you." I nod and he ruffles up my hair, which I'm really getting pissed off at, "now go pack up, just your dresses, and some night stuff. We're staying with the cousins."
My body rolls to the ground as I exaggerate my dismay, "why? What did I ever do?" I roll myself to the stairs and slowly stand dragging myself up the stairs.
I peak into my room and look across at my window, sighing I pull my hood up and tie the strings under my chin as I notice Maaz's window up and open. I don't bother making sure it looks suitable and walk into my room towards the window. Just as I'm about to close it, he looks over at me and bursts out laughing.
"What the heck? Is that some new type of hijab style?" He says once his laughs calm down. "Yeah, latest trend. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go pack."
"What are you packing for?" He asks leaning out his window. I sigh and say, "why do you ask so much questions?" He shrugs before picking up a pencil and twirling it around.
"I'm curious," he states grinning at me. The pencil drops from his fingers and I can't help but smirk as it falls into the bushes down below. "Awn, this sucks.." He whines staring down into the dark bushes.
"I'm packing for a three day stupid wedding." He looks back up as I say this, I get confused when he gasps and starts jumping up and down.
"You're getting married?! What?! When did this happen? Who's the poor poor guy?! Ugh I feel so bad for him!" I growl and pick up a wad of paper throwing it at him. He catches it swiftly before saying, "you forced him didn't you? Never knew you had it in you, but I swear if that guy looks in pain I will not hesitate to call the police."
I cross my arms around my chest and give him a blank stare, "are you done being an idiot?" He pouts glaring at me and is about to say something when I cut him off, "it's my cousins, and it's in Northam which stresses me out."
"Why does it stress you out?" He asks raising his eyebrow, I hold back the urge to rant and simply state, "cuz' it's an hour and a half away, and I still have to call one of my--"
"Hey Rania you forgot your - oh hey Maaz." I turn around looking at my brother who's holding a pair of my jeans in his hands, "hiya Laith." Maaz greets back with a wave as I grab the jeans from him.
"So what were you two talking about?"Laith asks squinting at both of us threateningly, he leans against my wall and crosses his arms over his chest. I'm about to reply with nothing when Maaz pipes up, "she asked me for my hand in marriage."
My eyes widen as Maaz smirks. Laith leans off the wall and towers over me, "Rania! Is this true?" He says with a growl. I move back a bit and face my back to Maaz, making sure Laith dosn't see the middle finger I send to the dumb arse.
"No of course not! I can't even ask for a frikin burger at Mcdonalds, how do I ask a guy for his hand?!" I say sarcasm lacing every word. Laith nods after a little while and looks across my shoulders glaring at Maaz.
I turn around and watch as he raises his hands in a surrender form, "I'm sorry please don't hurt me." He whimpers out moving away from the window as Laith moves closer. I laugh as he flinches when Laith slams the window shut. Taking my hood off I grab the suitcase from under my bed and open my drawers.
Shoving and throwing stuff in I smirk when I hear Laith grumble. "Not like that! You're a girl, you're supposed to be so...so organized!" I point a finger at him and say, "no stereotyping. This is faster anyways."
"At least fold some of them! And stop packing so much it's only three days." I groan and sit on my bed. Gesturing to the suitcase I say, "if you're gonna be picky, do it for me."
I lay back with a smile as he sighs and starts folding the clothes I picked out.
