Not Dead. I'm Not Dead!

Y/N's POV

Somewhere, somehow, for some inexplicable reason, Y/N was still alive and breathing. She had thought she was dead, especially when her parents came to her in her dreams.

"Y/N."
"Mom? Dad?"
"It's us, love. You can't join us yet."

"Why not?"
"You're too young and you're not ready yet. It will be several decades before you see us again."

"I've missed you all these years."
"I know. We've missed you too."
"But we've been watching you every day."
"Listen. Your friend Shadow is preparing to launch an attack on the man who created that monster of a robot who nearly killed you. The man is still alive, yet you completely destroyed the robot. There will be no future for him."
Their images were fading, but Y/N called out, "But how did I get these fire powers? I don't understand them."
"Neither do we, but we do know enough to tell you that Shadow's blood mixed with yours when you took pity on him and carried him back to school."
"Goodbye. Try not to die any time soon."
"I'll miss you."
Suddenly, she woke up as a black and red hedgehog.
