Karlie's head remained buried in the blondes chest for a moment perched on her lap, a pregnant pause lingered in the air. Taylor was lost in the beauty of the taller girl whom was laying on her lap, she needed to take in every detail of her friend. From her giraffe like composure, to the way her green eyes lit up like emeralds when she smiled. Taylor blushed slightly remembering the first time she saw Karlie's smile, the way it shone brighter than the sun. "You're my sunshine." Taylor whispered into the brunettes ear after a few more minutes. Why did I fucking say that, I am not usually this brave.. I'm seriously falling for this girl.
"Thank you?" The girl shifted out of Taylor's lap and sat next to her, placing her head back on Taylor's lap in hopes she would stroke her hair. "Karlie.. Did you set up the date because you really like me, or was it because you pitied me?"
Taylor waited for the girls reply, while stroking her long fingers through Karlie's now messy hair. The tall girl quickly shot up taking Taylor's hand with her, laughing abruptly at the shock on her friends face. "I like, like you silly. That's why I took you on a date."
Taylor paused for a moment, checking her reflection in the tv out of the corner of her eye, hoping that she looked presentable for what she hoped was about to happen next. Taylor shuffled closer to Karlie, her face slightly turned towards the brunettes lips. Karlie could feel Taylor's warm breath on her skin, she wanted to kiss her so badly. "Then kiss me silly." Taylor whispered as if reading the girls mind.
Karlie moved in closer to her friend, inhaling the girls smell that she loved so much; vanilla and cookies. Taylor reminded Karlie of home, maybe because she subconsciously wanted Taylor to be home. The girls lips finally locked, filled with passion and unspoken words. The silence had been replaced by hammering heart beats, and the deep breathes in between kisses. Sparks flew in both of the girls stomachs, and fluttered through their hearts. Taylor was Karlie's one, and she hoped she could be Taylor's eventually too.
Little did she know.
