Cara's POV
Hayley sat up in bed, seeing me return the smile glued to her face dropped when I got closer. "Uh oh, what's wrong?"
Shaking my head at her, I threw myself on the bed sighing. How could Taylor be so stupid and irresponsible, and how could I say all that to her after everything she went through with her family let alone her relationships. "I fucked up so bad. Taylor's drunk and she's driving, God knows where she is right now I don't know what to do. Do I leave her, call her or phone the police? I don't want her in trouble but I don't want her hurting herself or someone else." Hayley shrugged at me, not really knowing what to say. Taylor hadn't been the kindest of people to my fiancée in the past few month, jealous that she was trying to ruin our friendship. "I'll call Karlie, she's got to be back that's the only possible reason Taylor got shitfaced.""What the fuck do you want Cara?" Karlie spat at me after three rings. What the fuck had happened between these two tonight to make them take it out on me? "Well I wanted to know if you've seen Taylor tonight because she's pissed, oh and she's driving so you know I'm concerned about her safety!" I was angry now, I wasn't to blame for this so why was I the one picking up the pieces? "In fact Karlie, fuck you both. I'm done with picking up Taylor's messes. You worry about her!"
(third person again)
Karlie was more than worried, she didn't know what to do she had to fly back out to Australia if she wanted to bring her daughter home she had to fill out the forms by Monday. But the potential love of her life could be in real trouble. A few miles away from Karlie's apartment Taylor was on the edge of the bridge, drinking the last of her wine thinking about how she was going to end this. Taylor's phone buzzed on the dashboard, she quickly took a peak of who it was before throwing her phone out of the window. The last thing running through the girls mind was speaking to anyone, let alone the person who had been phoning her. Taylor closed her eyes, taking a deep breathe has she sighed, putting her foot down on the gas.Taylor's old pick up truck flew off the edge of the bridge, and into the river. Taylor felt free has she slipped into a breathless coma, this is what she wanted.
The next morning Cara woke regretting all of her actions from the previous night, but she didn't know how to fix those actions so she shook it off and got on with her morning praying that Taylor would walk through the door any moment apologetic and with an hangover from hell. Cara took a sip from her coffee, while scrolling through her texts from the last eight hours. A name she hadn't been expecting to appear in her inbox screamed out too her.
Ellie.
Cara was intrigued to wonder why Ellie was texting her so she opened the text, thinking it was mistakenly sent to her.
Taylor's in hospital. I'm still down has her next of kin, you need to get down here now because doctors are saying she might not make it. We have to put our differences aside for her!
Cara sped to the hospital, not thinking as she left a quick note for her still sleeping fiancée. When the blonde Brit got to the hospital Ellie was waiting in the foyer for her, she simply smiled at her after their last encounter this wasn't exactly the right time or place to be holding a grudge. "Hey. So where is she?"
Ellie remained silent and took Cara to the room Taylor was in, Cara stood back in horror barely recognising her best friend lying hooked up to a life support machine.
"Ellie, what will I do if she dies? Tay is like a sister to me, I can't lose her."
I'm leaving this here, chapter 22 will be in two parts because it's so long I've decided to break it up - so this is left on sort of a cliff hanger.
