Chapter 2

Something is changing

After I arrived home from my run I went straight to my room meanwhile I ignored the others snoring. I striped off leaving only my boxers on and went to bed and immediately fell into a deep sleep.

"Edward!" I woke up someone banging on my door.

"What?" I said in a raspy voice.

"Oh, good! You are awake! Can I come in?"

"No." I said and got comfortable again.

But my favourite sister being herself walked in and went straight to my closet. "Good morning sunshine!" She smiled and threw some clothes beside me on the bed. She always wanted to decide what we should wear.

"It was good until you." I mumbled half asleep.

Alice huffed and opened the curtains to let some light in. I groaned and pulled the covers over my head. But she just pulled them off.

"I hate you Alice." I said but she just snickerd. I opened one eye and saw her smiling at me. I sighed and sat up. She was always eager to go to school because we home schooled her until we could join her in high school.

When she was out I took a shower and dressed then I got downstairs to eat. I loved Esme's cooking. Today's breakfast were eggs and bacon. It smelled delicious. I sat next to Jasper and got myself plenty of food. If you are a warewolf you can eat, that's for sure. Rose wrinkled her nose at my plate but I ignored her, I hadn't eaten dinner last night so I was extremely hungry now. And Rosalie was always like this because she was a werewolf. That meant she can't have children. That made her bitter over the years but she was loyal to our family and she brought happiness to Emmett. And I was glad for that because my brother deserved it.

"Thanks Esme." I said and kissed her cheek.

"Your welcome dear" She smiled at me, then I digged in.

After breakfast we all went to school with my Volvo. When we got out I was hit by a sweet scent. Too sweet.

"Blacks" Emmett growled and Jasper pulled Alice closer to him while he glared at the two vampires.

Yes. Vampires. At the same school as us. We left them be because we made a treaty with them. They only drank animal blood and they can't set a foot on our land which was the forest next to Forks and all La push. Forks was a neutral place, that's why we could go to the same school.

As we passed them we didn't look at each other.
Jacob and Leah Black, they were mated and their cover story was that they were adopted by James and Victoria Black.

Classes flew quickly and before I knew it I was sitting at our lunch table with the others.

"Guess what I heard?" Alice grinned excitedly.

"That I am more awsome than Jasper?" Emmett asked with a smirk.

Alice glared at him."No you idiot, I heard that a new girl will be coming to school tomorrow." Now I got it why Alice was so excited. She always wanted a human friend but because she hung out with us -the freaks- nobody wanted to be close friends with her. "Her name is Isabella Swan she is the daughter of the Chief of police." Isabella... I pondered the name. It was beautiful. And it felt good hearing it, but I couldn't understand the reason behind it.

"Don't get your hopes up Alice, it's better anyway that we don't have close friends." Rose said the cruel truth. Alice instantly became sadder but Jasper was there to cheer her up.

Not much sooner the bell rang and we went to our classes.

When the final bell rang we got in my car and I drove home. Our house was in the forest next to Forks. Here we didn't need to pretend. As soon as we entered everybody went to do god knows what.

I went up to my room and lay down on my bed. I wanted to sleep a little bit before I went to my night patrol, but I realised that I was too excited about the next day. What the hell? Why was I so eager about the next day? It will be a simple Friday. Right? I tried to think of a reason but I couldn't come up with anything. So I decided to try to sleep and see what would the next day bring.
