Meadow

We were walking 2 hours now in a comfortable silence, sometimes talking a little, but mostly just enjoying the wild life of the forest.

I watched Bella closely, because she sometimes tripped in her own feet, rocks or sticks. I held the twigs away from her and helped her over branches. I didn't want her to get hurt, but also part of it was that I enjoyed our contact.

I realised that we were heading toward the meadow when I caught mine and Bella's scent faintly. I didn't know how I didn't realise it when I felt the sense of deja vu at her truck.

When we reached the beautiful meadow, where I almost lost her, I saw the nightmares flash in front of my eyes again. I felt my knees wobble and I had to remind myself that it was over. James was gone and she was safe. I was pulled away from these images by Bella's hand on my shoulder.

"Hey? Are you okay?" She asked and lead me to the centre of the clearing. We sat down and I shook my head clearing it from the images.

"Bad memories." I said shortly.

"Maybe it wasn't a good idea to came here." The uncertainty in her voice was palpable.

"No it's not that, I planned too to come back. It's just that.." I was rumbling like an idiot.

"Just what? You can tell me." She took my hand and started to draw random patterns on it.

Her eyes were wide and trustful, in the end I told her everything.

To the strange dreams, to the vampires's death. How close she was to die, how scared I really was. Why I was able to fet there in time, why the vampires were so adamant to kill her.

Sometimes I hesitated, sometimes she gaped, sometimes I tensed up.

The whole talk was a bit of a rollercoaster. I never knew when she had enough of it, when would it become too much, but surprisingly she took everything well.

But when I started on how we are going to fight Victoria's army she broke out.

"You can't do that!" She shouted suddenly, startling both of us.

"Bella-"

"No, no. I forbid you and your family." She crossed her arms in front of her with a determined look on her face.

I chuckled 'cause she looked like a sulky toddler. "I know you think we will get hurt and you don't like it that it would be because of you." She nodded with pursed lips so I continued. "If by some miracle someone do get hurt it wouldn't be your fault. No one would blame you."

"But your family-"

"They think of you as a part of the family, because you are a part of me. They watched me to be alone for 100 years and they thought that I would always be alone. And now that I finally found you they just couldn't let someone took you away from me. Besides our 'cousins' will probably help us so the fight would be easy. The vampires are unexperienced that's whay I was able to kill the one yesterday without phasing. Also they probably don't know about warewolves." I reassured her.

She was smiling sweetly at the end of it though I could still se the doubt in her eyes. I let it go because I knew that I couldn't make those doubts disappear. She was awfully stubborn.

So I just cuped her cheek and she pulled me closer by my shirt at the same time, our lips met halfway. I felt a growl in my chest and I ran my fingers threw her hair. I pulled on it so her head tilted back and gave me better access so I could deepen the kiss. When we pulled away both of us were out of breath.

We lied down after that and tried to see things in the clouds and just talked about our lives.

I was happy and in love.
