Good morning
After our kiss we lied down on her bed. She tried to get me to sleep, but I was reluctant to because of the nightmares and that her father would catch me here. She just laughed at the last statement and said that her father was away and he was not coming home until tomorrow night. About the nightmares she said that she would try and keep them away. After that I closed my eyes and held her close to me. She started to hum a lullaby quietly and I found myself asleep in no time.

I woke up in the morning with a pillow in my hands and I realised that Bella wasn't next to me. Before I could start to overthink this, her door opened quietly and she stepped in, dressed up. "Oh, hey, you are awake!" She smiled and went to the window and pulled away the curtains. "It's going to be sunny today!" She was right the whole room was bathing in sunshine. I smiled at her. She sent me a grin and plopped down next to me on the bed. She was quite energetic and happy. "Any bad dreams?" She asked, looking serious. It was a wonder how she can switch from being gleeful and oblivious to serious and understanding in seconds. And vice versa.
"No, I had none." Realising it for the first time. "In fact it was my best sleep in a long time." She beamed at me and I continued. "And that means-" I said letting out a baby growl. I smirked at her as she leaned away. I could see the playfulness in her eyes as she waited for me to pounce. I saw her muscles tense, ready to flee as soon as I move. Silly girl. I thought fondly. Didn't she know better?
"I am not sleeping without you ever again." I said quickly than as she started to jump up I caught her around her waist and pulled her back down. She let out a squeal and then a laugh as she landed on me. I laid back and adjusted us to lay more comfortably, her head laying above my heart and my arms around her waist. I kissed the top of her head and let out a happy sigh. It was true though, she was better than any sleeping pill.
"I won't complain." She said and I played with her hair as we fell into a comfortable silence, just enjoying each other's closeness.
"What's the time?" I asked after a while.
She jumped from my sudden question. "Probably around 9." She said and looked at me.
I was sure that I was frowning as I thought about that. Nine? That was a new record, I always slept until 5 o' clock even when I didn't have any nightmares. But now I felt well rested. It was a pleasant change.

After I washed my teeth with a spare toothbrush Bella started to make pancakes for breakfast. They were, of course, delicious. She also made some sandwiches that we could take with us on our trip. She still didn't tell me where were we going, it was frustrating. I hated surprises, just like her.

"You know with this speed we will leave Forks by tomorrow morning." I said as I searched for a radio. We were in her truck and she was driving.
"Hey, some respect! This truck is old enough to be your car's grandfather." She patted the steering wheel affectionately.
"More like great grandfather." I mumbled.
"I heard that." She said and I just looked at her with an angelic smile. She rolled her eyes and turned back to the road.
Fortunately we left the town before tomorrow morning, but the slowness made me itchy. Though Bella laughed through the whole ride because of my comments and our bickering.
She turned on a dirty road that lead into the forest, I looked at her faking horror. "You are after all killing me, because I showed up in your bedroom right?" I said looking around the abonded area.
"What?! No!" She glanced at me with worry, but when she saw I was just teasing her she glared at me. I couldn't help but laugh at that. She was like a kitten pretending to be a tiger. She couldn't maintain it for long and fighting not to grin she pocked her tongue at me. This just made me laugh harder and she cracked up too.
We only stopped at the end of the road and I saw that there was trail heading into the forest. I jumped out and went around quickly to help Bella out but she had already opened the door and was outside. I frowned at that, but she just sent me grin with a wink.
I took the backpack from her and I saterted to head for the trail, but her amused voice stopped me.
"Edward, where are you going?" She asked with a smirk.
"To the trail or do you want to talk here?" I asked, confused.
"No, but we are not using the trail." She said and went through two bushes. I just stood there like an idiot, not knowing what to do.
"You are joking right?" I asked her with full of seriousness. Bella was clumsy and she hiking was a surprise for me, but she not using the trail was a shock.
"Nope." She said popping the p. "Come on Edward. Or are you afraid of a little trip?"
"No I am afraid that you would somehow get hurt-" I said as I got through the bushes. "or you would actually really kill me." I said the last part teasingly and she just pushed me by my shoulders. I loved it in her that she didn't act different after I told her my past.
As I observed my surroundings I felt some kind of deja vu, but I couldn't put my fingers on it so I just turned to Bella. "Shall we?"
