➳ Middle Stage

To tell you the truth, 

my aching bones

and heavy breaths 

are now a familiarity 

I refuse to change 

because I am weak 

and afraid 

and I want everything 

but to be happy 

because with happiness, 

comes loss,

and with loss, 

comes sadness.

So what is the point

of going through the middle stage

when I can stay sad 

to begin with?
