The melody which flowed from your fingers
Has never left my mind
It is always resonating, always reminding,
Though I have forgotten the notes,
I recall the nights
In which you played for me a beautiful melody
A melody too enchanting to have a harmony
Though you did told me that I am the harmony,
I couldn't imagine being a part of such a captivating sweetness...
Then the notes stopped, and the addicting taste
Had turned bitter
Anything resembling the enamoring beauty
Made my heart shatter and grow colder
It wasn't until a year ago that I didn't respond with such hatred
To beautiful melodies
Coincidentally, it was also then when I heard that lively tune again
The one you used to call "a metaphor for our lives"
I remember freezing in my place
And the memories began to play before my eyes
I can now play the haunting piece,
But not with the beauty you possess
I guess some melodies will always be left tainted
for no amount of flowing notes
would be able to restore what we had
