He falls to his knees and
Takes in a breath
But the air catches in his throat
And it is as though he's drowning again
He shivers and burns
And flies yet falls
It is another day
But he still has to deal with his thoughts
He believes he's falling
Dying, even
That tends to happen when he panics
"It is alright," he reassured himself still
But his body sinks
And soon
the roses bloom
Out of his broken vessel
And upon his grave
On his tombstone it says
"I only tried to fly."
