It takes the guards a while to get Minho under control. He kicks and screams like a child, just because we're going to a meeting. He should be happy they're letting us out.
He's finally handcuffed after ten minutes of struggling for...well I don't even know what he was trying to get out of all of this trouble. "Dude, come on. Slim it and do what they say," I hiss.
They open my cell, allowing me to walk behind them without being restrained. Aris and Thomas are let out after me, following right on my heels.
They make us walk up the stairs, which isn't surprising. I wouldn't want an angry Minho in a tiny room with me either.
The chatter of all of the Gladers echoes through the hallway as we reach the door. Hundreds of guards stand against the walls. I see Kenzie and her friends sitting in the front row, where they'll probably have us sit too, just in a different section of rows.
At the angle both of our rows are set at, all I have to do to see her is slightly turn my head. She looks over at me, a frown planted on her face. All I can do is stare at her, worried of what is to come of all this.
She looks away, and a feeling of loneliness overtakes me, even though I'm not alone. That's how I felt in the Maze.
But the Maze is over with. We don't have to go back. Whatever happens now, it can't be worse than that.
Ava steps up to the stage, waiting for the crowd to calm down. When silence overtakes the room, she speaks, "You may all be wondering why you are here. My answer might anger, surprise, or kill you. Maybe all of the above. Upon the fact that McKenzie has failed in giving the cure for the Flare in nightmares, a new experiment will be put into place. As you all know, we had a group of girls in the Maze, and a group of boys."

Please don't say it.

"But not a group of girls and boys."

Oh my gosh.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you are being sent back into the Maze."

No...

Chaos springs up out of those few words. Crying and yelling fills the room. Minho jumps out of his chair, only to be held down again by two guards. All I do it sit with my hands in my lap. I find the strength to look at Kenzie, to see the pain in her eyes. She doesn't move, but only to look at me looking at her. Then it hits me.

I'm not going to remember her.
