20. Secrets

I hung up with her took a shower.  I was brushing my teeth in my towel when my phone buzzed.  It was Aaron that dirty liar.

"System is set up.  User name is Dangerous1 password is Guardianangel4.  You can change either."

For not being the owner, he sure acted like he got this done for me.  I downloaded the app and put in the info he gave me.  Every damn room had a camera in it, even the bathroom.  There were still guys there, packing up their tools from the install.

"Why did you pick that user and password?"

"Because it's dangerous for you to not have me around.  I could be your guardian angel."

I rolled my eyes.  "Why are you so corny sometimes?"

"Because I like to make you smile.  Now I did you a favor, you can do one for me.  Come to the club Friday night."

"Did you just bribe me?"

"Did it work?"

"Hmm.... Maybe.  What if I want to pay you back some other way?  You sure you don't want to hold on to that I owe you for a while?"  There is no way this guy is Ryan the owner, but whoever he is, he had some sort of power.  Maybe he is a hacker and hacked a security system to help me out.

"I want to cash it in asap."

"Why?  Afraid I might find out your secrets?"

"Yes."

Wholly shit.  He just admitted he is hiding something from me.  Something other than his face.  Maybe he is a hacker.  I've been watching too much Mr. Robot.

"Tell me what they are and I might forgive you now."

"If I told you they wouldn't be a secret."

"Fine.  How many do you have?"

"Too many to count."

"I'll tell you one of mine if you tell me one of yours...."  I don't know if I really will, but you won't know that.

"No.  I don't want to see you hurt."  Maybe he is is a criminal.  Why am I getting excited about this.  Maybe he is in the Mafia!
"How old are you?  I'm 24"

"28.  6'2" brown hair blue eyes 210lbs of pure muscle."

"What are you doing right now?  Shouldn't you be at work?"

"Shouldn't you?"

"Touché.  I called in remember."

"I own the company, I can do whatever I want."

What an ass-hat.  He runs something that is for sure.  Let me call him out on it.  "I thought Ryan Vatinius did?"

"Only in face and name.  He is my father and has handed all executive decisions to me.  The profit is mine, but so is the bankruptcy if it comes to that.  I do everything here.  I just don't like all the media coverage."

"Aaron Vatinius"

"That's my name baby. I'll wear you out."

He is too much.  "If I come Friday, you have to tell me your biggest darkest secret."

"I will just have to remember to get you wasted and then it won't matter.  I don't mind taking you home drunk and spooning in your bed with you."

After I read that, I just realized where I had led us too.  He wasn't joking with me anymore.  "Drunk me still knows when a secret hurts.  If it is as bad as you think it is, you won't be going home with me."

"If you're as drunk as you were last time, you won't have a choice."

"I just won't come then."

"Oh, you will.  It will eat you alive trying to find out that thing about me no one knows about.  I'll give you a hint.  It has to do with you."

What the fuck.  I just met this guy.  How could he have a dark secret that has to deal with me, but that could hurt me.  My mind is drawing a blank.  He killed my dog when I was 9?  The only thing bad that has happened in my life could have nothing to do with him.  He didn't give my grandma cancer.  He didn't make my ex cheat on me right in front of me.  He didn't fire me at my last job.  There is no way he could be my stalker.  Stalkers don't own companies, and they don't typically talk and build a relationship with the people they stalk.  Do they?  No, stalkers are usually obsessed and go through your garbage.  Aaron wasn't obsessed, just persistent.  He would have to be that way to get to where he is at.   And there is no way a guy like that would go through my trash.

What the hell was this secret.  Maybe he could see the future, because this was eating me alive, trying to figure this out.
