Pepper's POV

It's saturday! Good thing i don't need to attend that freaking school. I hate my parents for enrolling me to that international school! Rich kids, brats uhrggh! They are all irritating.

I got up and went to my parents room. I need to learn tagalog, so i can speak with her. Yeah, my yaya's daughter. Last night i feel so dumb knowing that she can't understand me. I know how to speak tagalog, but only a bit.

"Mom!" I shouted when i was infront of their door.

"Yes baby?"

"Teach me."I saw her curious look so i continue. "Teach me how to speak Tagalog, i need it!"

"Uh-- why?"

"You really need to ask why? Mom i'm a pure Filipino. How come i can't speak tagalog properly?"

"Ow.. Sorry naman anak, sige turuan kita Later ha? Ligo lang si Mommy. Love you!"

After saying that, she closed the door. God! It's freaking annoying, she never lets me in! I tried to open it and guess what? It's locked, i have no choice..

"Mom! Open the door!" I shout.

"What is it son?" It was Dad who opened.

"Teach me how to speak tagalog. Now." I demand, cause if i wait for Mom, i know it would take hours before she finished her bath.

"Why don't you ask Sugar? I bet she know's how to speak tagalog fluently."

That was a nice idea but, "Dad! She can't understand me!"

"You would never really know, unless you tried. Go, ask her."

And then again he shut the door. What's wrong with my parents? I have no choice but to ask her..

***

I decided to look for Sugar when i saw yaya Cecilia cleaning, i cleared my throat to get her attention. "Goodmorning Sir Pepper."

"Goodmorning too.. Uh-" shame on me!

"May ipapagawa po ba kayo Sir?"

"You understand me?" I asked her.

"Oo naman sir, nakakaintindi po kami ng English."

"Kami? You mean.."

She scratched her forehead before answering me, "Pasensya na kagabi Sir, si Gareng kasi napagtripan ka. E naiintindihan ka naman nun kaya lang gusto ka niya biruin kaso bigla ka naman po umalis.."

I raised my brow. So that's it, she can understand me. Freaking hell! Forgive me for cussing too much at my age. In our school this is normal. But the mere fact that she can understand me means a lot. We can be friends!
