71: Family Day

Pepper's POV

"Oh my God anak! Hanggang ngayon hindi pa din ako makapaniwala na may apo ako!" i smiled at Mom as i continue to drive. We're heading our way to Cookie's school, we need to attend her Family day. And i am so damn excited to see them, kahit kahapon lang ay magkasama naman kami.

 

After that shocking moment when Sugar revealed the truth na may anak kami ay hindi na kami nag-usap pa muli. Not literally hindi nag usap, cause if it concerns about Cream and Cookie ay nag uusap kami. Just like last night, she was the one who called me to remind me regarding Cookie's family day.

 

For me, hindi na mahalaga kung anong mayroon kami ni Sugar. What matters to me now is my Son and daughter, i want to fill those moments when i'm not there beside them. I admit, masama ang loob ko kay Sugar dahil sa pagtatago niya sa akin ng totoo. Pero.. Nangyari na, i should still thank her dahil napalaki niyang mabuting tao sila Cream."Finally.. We're here. "

  

Nagmadali kami ni mommy na bumaba pagkatapos kong ipark ang kotse. I look around and saw lots of people, families to be exact. I smile and looked for them.. Naghanap ako ng mga nakapink, Sugar told me to wear pink so i did.. Same as Mom, hindi nakasama si Daddy dahil may kailangan siyang imeet na kliyente."Pepper! Where are they?"

 

"I don't know too.." i say habang patuloy pa din sa pag ikot ang mata. Where are they? I can't wait to see her-- i mean Cookie and Cream. Damn it!

 

"Papa!" my eyes grew bigger when i heard a familiar voice, at pagtingin ko sa pinanggalingan ko ay hindi mawala ang ngiti sa mga labi ko. A small version of me and Sugar is running with a wide smile on their faces towards me. I can't help but smile too as i saw a woman walking after them. She's still.. Beautiful."Pa..ha..papa!"

"Hey! Why are you running?" natawa ako ng hapong-hapo si Cookie na nakalapit sa akin, while Cream is still composed as he always did.

 

Everytime i saw him, nakikita ko talaga ang sarili ko. I know what mom feels, magkaroon ng masungit na anak. I just met him few days ago pero feeling ko kilala ko na siya, because we're the same! While Cookie on the other hand is so bubbly and talkative just like Sugar.. Kaya hindi maikakaila na anak ko talaga sila, no need for DNA test.

 

"Excited na po kasi ako Papa!" Cookie smile widely, i can see her eyes sparkle. Halata nga na excited siya,"Papa sasali po tayo sa games ha?" bahagya pa niyang hinila ang laylayan ng damit ko kaya mas napangiti ako.

"I won't join any games. That's.. Boring." i looked at Cream who's now frowning, showing us how disgusted he was. Little Pepper..tsk.tsk!

"Mikhael.." Sugar say that in serious tone. Halatang sinasaway niya si Cream. And as a father kinausap ko siya.

"Son listen.." i held his shoulder and look in his eyes,"this is a very rare event, we should cherish every moment of us together." he looks confused kaya napabuntung hininga ako. He's hard headed and so stubborn.."just this once son.. For me, for Cookie, your Ma..Mama." i trailed off as i say that, nakakailang knowing she's staring at us."let's be happy today as family, is it okay?"
