Pepper's POV

It's been a month since that heart to heart talk with Mom and still what she said haunts me.. Tsk! Well, aside from that nakalipat na din ako and living alone is really great. Not that i don't want to be with my parents anymore, it's just a good feeling knowing you are the one who is incharge of taking care of you life.

Though i was a bit frustrated on my first week. Hindi kasi ako maalam magluto but i still tried. Unfortunately i still end up on restaurants, maybe i need someone to cook for me. Soon..

*kriiiinnnggg..*

"Hello.." I answered without looking at the screen, i was heading my way to PepperMint Cafè. There was some issue that is needed to be fixed. Ang sakit sa ulo lalo at one month palang simula ng magbukas kami. We need new tactics..

["Sir Pepper.. Papunta na po ba kayo dito?"]

I recognized the voice, it's Salt. "Yeah i'm on my way.. Is there any problem?"

["A bit Sir. We'll wait for you.."]

"Okay." I ended the call and drive as fast as i can. Luckily wala akong naencounter na traffic kaya nakarating agad ako."What happened here?" I asked ng makita si Salt sa kitchen, marami namang customers so i assume na hindi 'yun ang problema.

"Our pastry chef and our head chef.."

"What about them?" I crossed my arms to show him that i demand for direct answer.

"They had a relationship and unfortunately Liza got pregnant.."

"Paano ko naging problema 'yon?"
Seriously? Paano ko magiging problema kung nabuntis ni Abel si Liza?



 

"She wants to resign, and you know that it's hard to look for another pastry chef lalo at kabubukas lang natin. That would be risky, baka maiba panlasa ng tao.."

  

Somehow he's right, mahirap talaga dahil siya ang nag umpisa dito.. Pero kagaya na din ng sabi niya kabubukas pa lang ng cafè, baka ito na ang hinahanap ko na pagbabago. I'm a businessman i am not afraid of taking risks.. "Let her. Just put some ad that we're looking for new pastry chef's well experience or not. But, they have to make their own recipe. It should be unique and rare.."

"But si--"

"No but's, just do what i say. I know what i am doing.."

I dismissed him and went to my car. I need to unwind, this is what i usually do kapag loaded ang utak ko. Wala naman kasi ako magagawa kung gusto na magresign ni Liza, maigi na din na sinabi nila hangga't maaga. I always believe that prevention is better than cure.

I just hope na makakuha agad sila ng kapalit, someone that will make a change.. After a deep breathe i start my engine and leave with nowhere to go..

Isang buwan na, isang buwan na akong nganga! Kung bakit kasi antumal ng applyan ngayon. Kung hindi matumal sobrang liit naman ng sahod! Jusko talaga, paano na kami nito?

Naglalakad ako ngayon baka sakali makapulot ng swerte, kaso maghahapon na wala pa din. Simula talaga ng makabangga ko 'yung maarte na 'yun nagkamalas malas na ako. Baka isinumpa ako n'un! Ay putcha! Makita ko lang talaga 'yun ulit papakainin ko siya ng sandamakmak na foundation para hindi lang mukha niya ang maputi, pati din budhi!
