Ashton woke up with a gasp and once again stared at the black skies.
He sighed and passed his fingers in his curly hair, frustration in his movements.
"Are you done now?" The vampire spoke, making Ashton look aside and find him standing right where he was half an hour ago.
"No." Ashton sighed.
"You slept three hours. I think its enough."
"Humans needs to sleep at least seven hours." Ashton crossed his hands behind his head and turned to look at the skies again. He was laying on a bench in the middle of the long sidewalk and tried to sleep but his mind was restless and he kept dreaming about Liam and his parents.
"You're not human."
"Yes I am."
"You can't sleep anyway so why bother?"
"I'm trying."
"You keep saying 'Liam'." The vampire commanded and Ashton closed his eyes for a few moments.
"He's probably your dead lover, isn't he?" The vampire walked closer to the bench and made Ashton pull himself to sit.
"Lover? Have you ever even been in the Shell?"
"What? No time for fun there?"
"No time for air."
"Get up." The vampire spoke more strongly now, runnig out patient.
"Where?"
"Where I'll decide. You slept enough."
Ashton stood up but he could feel something twisting in his stomach. Something weurd that didn't seem or felt familiar, a different kind of pain. He ignored it and followed the vampire quietly to where he led.
"Can you at least tell me your name?"
"No."
"So I should just keep calling you Mr. Vampire?"
The vampire took a deep breath befor giving up and speaking again, "Its Luke."
"Luke?" Ashton repeated and frowned. Somehow that name didn't seem to fit him, his cold surface and the harsh tone seemed to fit a much tougher name.
"Come on human, use your legs." Luke started walking faster.
"I don't get the blood thing, I can't die so why are you taking me with you? It can't kill you too."
"Because of my blood."
"It'll be out of my system soon."
"And until that, you're staying with me." Luke spat. He was impatient when it came to talks and he prefered the human who strolled behind him to just shut up. His blood was value and if otheres would lay their hands on the human and realize that he is carring his blood, they will defintly use it against him.
Because out there, blood was the stronger weapon you could get.
Ashton walked faster but stopped when a sting of pain shot through his body.
He fell on his knees and fought himself from screaming, he bite his bottom lip harsly and shot his eyes tight.
"Whats happening?" He gritted out.
"That's my blood. You're not build to hold that kind of blood in your system." Luke replied simply as he leaned on a brick wall and watched Ashton clutchimg on his stomach and then screaming. The pain grow stronger and Ashton couldn't hold his screams and groans of pain. He never felt that type of pain and it was the worse one until now. Physcally the worse one.
"Jeasus.." He muttered befor falling to the ground completely.
He turned on his back and stared at the skies while panting hard and blinking none stop.
The pains grew smaller and Ashton was finally able to relax as swallowed the lump in his throat and took in a deep breath.
"Are you done?"
"Just leave me alone." Ashton whispered back,
Luke walked over to him and pulled him to stand roughly, not caring he was suffering.
"Keep walking or you will suffer something worse."
Ashton closed his eyes for a few seconds and for a second considered giving everything up and just resist the vampire. But he couldn't die and he knew the vampire will probably just torture him or something. He took a deep breathe, sucked in the pain and walked after Luke. He just wished everything will be over, that he could be dead and stop fearing and feeling the horrible grief over his parents.
"Are you going to kill me after those few days or just let me go?"
"I don't know. Maybe I'll use you as my own blood bag."
"You can't." Ashton gasped.
"Want to bet?"
"I.. I won't let you."
"Right, because you stand a chance." Luke chuckled.
