"As for tomorrow, kids and parents won't be living under the same roof."

Ashton's eyes widened and his heart started sinking in his chest. He listened as the man spoke but after those words he wasn't able to focus any longer. His father wrapped his arm around him and felt the same way Ashton felt. It was always rummors and nobody thought that they will actually separate kids and parents.

"Dad." Ashton felt the tears in his eyes.

"It'll be okay." His father rubbed his back and tried comforting him but they both knew they didn't had a choice. There was no place to run and you couldn't even hide because the 'governments' knew all the places and kept records.

Ashton's breath picked up, along with the rest of the people around him. His mother stayed home because she wasn't feeling well, she got very sick but Ashton refused to believe that is might be something dealy. He figured she will recover soon even though its been a few weeks.

He felt like crying and whimpering with pain at that moments, he would have if his father wouldn't have pulled him out of the crowd and took him home.

He fought his tears the entire way home and his father had nothing to say. He knew they can't fight this, and that if they will try Ashton might get hurt.

They walked into the house and Ashton walked into his parents bedroom, sitting beside his mom and making her wake up.

"Hey sweetie," She barely whispered.

"They're separating us mom." Ashton whispered back.

His mother frowned and took a hold of his palm, bringing it closer to her heart.

"What to you mean?"

"They just announced kids and parents are going to stay at different places." This time Ashton cried. He couldn't bring himself to even imagine not living with his parents.

His mother frowned even more and pulled herself to sit, her heart quickening as well.

"Ben!" She called and her husband came into the room, looking even worse then Ashton.

"This can't be." She looked at him and all he did was a small nodd, letting her know this was real.

"Why?"

"No one knows." Ashton replied.

"It'll be okay honey," she caressed his cheek.

"No it won't." Ashton shoke his head.

"We will still see you. I'm sure they will put you somewhere close-"

"Mom no. I want to stay here."

In some point Ashton locked himself in his room and his father stayed beside Mary, not knowing what to say or do.

They both cried and felt so helpless. There was nothing they could do and soon Ashton won't be with them anymore.

Ashton woke up afterwards. He didn't need the dream to continue in order to remembered what happened next. He remembered it like it was yesterday.

He shifted to lay on his back and stayed staring at the white ceiling. Sometimes he wished he would just feel nothing, not the pain and not the memories and let along not the yearning. He shut his eyes tight when a pictures of his father appeared in his mind and he felt his heart shrink from the pain that shot through his body. He could never forget his parents and he didn't know how he could live eternity with the infinity pain in every bone of his body.

He didn't had the desire to die like he had at first, it melted down but he still had a few strands of wanting to shut everything out and just stop feeling.

Wanting to give up.

Another heavy sigh left his lips and he tried thinking of somethimg else.
