He had no idea how he got there, but he did.

He was standing in the middle of the street with his eyes frowned and darting all over his surroundness, trying to understand where he is.

Panic filled him when he heard a scream and a howl right after. He didn't knew where to go or where to run. He could feel something bad in the pit of his stomach, sensing a lot of presents near by.

He took a step back and looked around him once more.

When he heard a growl, his heart froze and he was afraid to turn around. But he had no choice and he had to so he did, slowly.

"Oh no." He muttered to the sight of a wolf showing off his teeth and looking at Ashton as if he was a prey.

The wolf didn't give Ashton much time to think befor he attacked, launching at Ashton. Ashton stumbled back and used his arms to protect his face. When he felt the claws digging in the skin of his stomach, he immediately used his energy to send the wolf away but the claws already stuck in his body and Ashton sending the wolf away only made the cuts longer on his skin.

He didn't even feel the pain, he was too focused to stay on gaurd incase the wolf will attack again.

But he knew he didn't had to worry just about that wolf when he heard a another growl. The other wolf watched him with gritted teeth, absorving and trying to understand what he was.

The wolf slowly circled him and to him joined two more, like wolves usually do, hanging in a pack.

Ashton couldn't feel his heart beat anymore. He just kept looking at them, trying to be ready for an impact.

When one of the wolves finally made a move, he didn't had to stop it because Luke wrapped his arms around him and pulled him back. He could see someone else attacking but it was hard to recognize him because Luke sat everything on fire, burning the wolves. Ashton couldn't see anything and his face felt like they were going to melt any second now.

"Luke," Ashton whispered, trying to understand what was going on.

"Don't move." Luke ordered in his ear, gripping tighter Ashton to his chest. Ashton wanted to turn around and look at him but he couldn't move and the fire seemed to die down a bit.

He heard a horrible howl, one full of pains and knew one of the wolves was close to death now. He couldn't keep his eyes open anymore and he trusted Luke to keep him safe.

When everything was over and he could feel the cold wind instead of the burning flames, he opened his eyes and pulled away from Luke.

He watched the dead wolves that laid on the road and then looked back at Luke, "Thanks," he whispered.

"How did you get here?"

"I don't know." Ashton looked around him for the guy he saw but there was no one in sight.

"He's gone," Luke spoke, "Did you had a dream or anything?"

"Not that I remember." Ashton shoke his head.

Luke didn't say a thing after that and his eyes darted down, to Ashton injured stomach.

"I don't feel it." Ashton looked down as well and touched the three long cuts.

"Its looks bad." Luke tore his shirt and revealed the whole cuts.

"It doesn't hurt?" Luke pressed his palm on it and looked at Ashton's face for a reaction.

"No."

"Maybe you are becoming immortal."

"You think it'll heal by itself?"

"We'll have to wait and see."

They started walking back to Luke's house and Ashton couldn't help but to look at his cuts and how disgusting they were. The open flash and the blood that dripped to his pants, eventually leaving a trail on the road.

"I didn't even sensed you walked out of the house." Luke looked at him.

"Were you sleeping?"

"I'm supposed to feel things like that even in my sleep."

"Especially when you were sleeping beside me." Luke finished.

"You think it was one of my powers?" Ashton looked at him.

"Not yours." Luke shoke his head.

They reached the house and Ashton took a shower. He didn't even hissed when he put water on the wound and the cuts seemed to dry already. Luke was skeptical about this whole thing and he couldn't quite believe that Ashton became strong enough in order not to feel the wound or let it heal by itself. He thought that maybe his blood had something to do with it because he put it in his body two days ago when he gave him a glass of water, but it still didn't solve the main problem of how Ashton left the house and why?

He thought for a second to call Liam, maybe this was an immortals thing, but that will give Liam a chance to show Ashton he needed him and Liam could keep trying to convince him to go with him.

And Luke enjoyed Ashton too much in order to let him go.

"Luke." Ashton pulled him from his thought by stepping out of the bathroom.

"You done?"

"Yes."

"And it didn't hurt when you washed it?" He looked at the clean cut.

"Not at all." Ashton shrugged.

"Okay," Luke nodded, "Want to eat something?"

"I want to sleep."

"I don't think its a good idea."

"I know, but I'm tired." Ashton sat on the bed.

Luke opened his mouth to try and convince him but then he just gave a slight nodd, figuring he is going to be awake and keep an eye anyway.

Ashton crawled up and went to sleep while Luke leaned on the desk and drowned in his thought again.

What was he doing?

Ashton clearly didn't belong with him and keeping him will just cause spending more energy and power in an attempt to keep him safe.
