"Luke." Ashton mumbled with his eyes still closed.

"What?" Luke glanced at him from his position on the window seat.

"I'm falling asleep."

"I can see that." Luke chuckled.

They agreed he will try to stay awake but it didn't last as much as they wanted and as much as Ashton avoided the bed, he still couldn't resist as he laid on the floor. Luke could tell he was tired and that there wasn't much to do beside make sure he won't leave the house so he didn't even tried stopping him. It mostly came from Ashton and it surprised Luke because Ashton didn't care to die at first and now it scares him the most. The fact Caius might find him or kill him in his sleep stressed him terribly.

Luke wanted Liam to find Cauis befor Ashton will fall asleep but to his opinion, Liam was slow and not effective enough in the ways he searched so he didn't expected much.

If it weren't for Ashton's sleep, he would have gone outside by himself and find Caius.

"Luke?"

"Yeah?"

This time Ashton didn't reply and after a few more moments, his slow breathes filled the room. Luke looked out of the window again and wondered when things have gone that way.

When did he started feeling that way toward a human boy, a thing he hated the most. He didn't like humans and he didn't like how worthless they were. Ashton was maybe a half human but he was in the begining of his way and it will take him a lot more time to become more immortal then human.

He left the room and let Ashton keep napping on the floor.

"You don't eat at all?" Ashton glanced to Luke as he shoved another piece of hot brad into his mouth.

"No."

"You're missing it then, food is great."

"I can say the same about blood." Luke looked at him.

They kept walking down the street and Ashton found himself more then enjoying the sun on his head. He was wearing a beanie again in order to pull his hair back and not let it fall on his eyes.

"How did you turned?" Ashton asked when Luke led them to a left turn.

"I wanted to be a vampire."

"Why?"

"Because being a human is pointless."

"Because you made it that way. If all the other creatures would have left us alone-"

"Ashton the shell wasn't really isolated from us like you think."

"What?"

"We provided you food and you did works for us, works that someone convinced us that are necessary. But they weren't and its why they ended the human race. He was no use."

Ashton prefered not replying to that because he wasn't in the mood to get into another fight about what was really the worthy of the humans.

They reached Luke's house and Ashton let himself slump against the kitchen as he finished the brad. He stared at the TV that Luke left on and moved aside a bit to make Luke space when he felt him sitting on the couch as well.

"How do you feed now?"

"Me? I have you." Luke grabbed Ashton's wrist and pulled him closer.

"And the rest?"

"There's many creatures with hot blood in their veins." Luke pulled out his fangs and dipped then in Ashton's wrist, sucking the blood.

Ashton didnt want to show that he was disgusted but he was, the blood was disgustimg and so as the fangs to him.

Luke kept sucking the blood from Ashton's wrist and Ashton watched and grimaced, twisting his nose as well.

"How can you drink this?" Ashton asked when Luke pulled away and then healed his wrist.

"Same as you can eat food."

"Its different, food is.."

"Value for your survivor. If I'll stop bringing food in here, you'll starve and die slowly, same as I will without blood."

Ashton didn't say anything, he knew Luke was right. He let his head fall back on the couch and Luke could tell he was going to sink into sleep soon.

"Tired?"

"I am now." Ashton nodded. He didn't make a lot of effort when he let Luke drink his blood but it still drained him.

He slept on the couch and Luke stood up and walked to the yard. Its been a while since he fed from Ashton and he honsetly thought he could stop because Ashton's blood wasn't going to do him good in the long term, but he woke uo extramly hungry today and he craved for a good taste and not just any blood.
