He woke up panting hard and pulled himself to sit right away. At first his vision was still blurred and when Luke came into his view he couldn't see his face clearly, only a few moments later everytghing calmed and Ashton stood up from the couch.
"What is it?"
He was restless and the kitchen was his first destination, he washed his face and let his breathes steady.
"I dreamed about Liam." Ashton told Luke when he walked into the kitchen as well.
"A nightmare?"
"No. I think its.. I don't how to explain it."
"Okay,"
"I have to talk to Liam. I need to warn him."
"Warn him from what?"
"From Caius! He tried hurting Liam-"
"Ashton it was a dream."
"It was more then that, I felt like.. like someone was taking over my dream,"
"So you want to warn Liam based on a dream you think someone planted in your head?" Luke spoke, not bothering to hide the doubt in his voice.
"You don't believe me?" Ashton frowned.
"I believe you had a dream. I don't think its seriouse."
Ashton didn't say anything else as he simply left the house and made Luke sigh. He started walking down the street and he could feel his heart beating against his ribcage, but it wasn't because he was walking alone, it was still the dream that pounded in his head.
"Ashton you don't even know where he lives." Luke shouted behind him.
"I'll find it."
Luke had no idea what got into him suddenly, making him restless and full of determination but it didn't hit him in a bad time because Luke was definitely not in the mood for this.
He quickly closed the distance between them and held Ashton in place by gripping both of his wrists.
"Let me go."
"Just stop for a moment and think about it."
"There's nothing to think about! I can't let Liam die!"
"You dreamed about his death?"
"Luke let me go!" Ashton urged as he took a step back and tried making Luke release his wrists.
"You need me to get there, so calm down and breath,"
Ashton looked away from him and after a few moments of both of them staying silent, Luke released him and then started leading him down the street.
"Its far, walking won't get us there."
"So what will?" Ashton looked at him and Luke sighed befor wrappimg his arms around Ashton and bringing him to his chest.
He used his speed and Ashton wrapped his arms tighter around him, feeling the wind attacking him almost painfuly.
They reached Luke's house and Ashton let go of him slowly, stumbling back a moment later. Luke held his arm and smiled at his lack of balance. Ashton stood still for a few moments, gaining back his balance and concentrations.
"Well?"
"Its the same house exactly." Ashton turned to Luke after staring at house.
"Okay." Luke nodded and walked Ashton to the front door.
"Relax," Luke muttered to Ashton, even if he wasn't a vampire, he could still feel his heart beating loudly.
Ashton wanted to knock but Luke just walked in, not letting Ashton a chance to be polite. Liam's reaction was instant as he came downstairs and faced them both. Ashton looked around and the dream started replaying in his head again, it was all the same.
"That's a thing I didn't expect to see."
"He has something to tell you." Luke shoved his hands in his pockets.
"I dreamed about Caius killing you." Ashton took a step toward him and Liam just frowned.
"Okay, wait." Liam seemed confused and Luke knew this is all just one big mess.
"It was right here in this house, and I never saw this house befor but he still showed up in my dreams so its real, I can feel it. He knocked and it started normally but then he grabbed you by the neck and you choked-"
"Ashton slow down,"
"You were dead Liam."
"And in the short version, we need to find a way to end the story with Caius." Luke spoke.
"Not in the way you want it." Liam glared at him.
"He just told you your own father will kill you, do you want that in any clearer?"
"What are you talking about?" Ashton looked at Luke.
"He wants to kill him Ashton." Liam told him,
"Kill Caius?"
"Yes."
"He will kill both of you if you won't kill him first." Luke explained.
"Why would he show Ashton that dream? Why would he let him warn me?" Liam glared at Luke again.
"Its part of a plan. He's probably not planning to kill you that way but he hopes telling you the dream will lead you to something else."
"Or Ashton." Liam glanced to Ashton.
"We need to find him." Liam sighed.
"You want to tell me you still haven't?"
"No. I know he's going to be a party next week. I was planning to talk to him there."
"The North party?" Luke raised an eyebrow.
"Yes."
"And all you plan is to talk to him?"
"Luke don't start."
"Fine. Cooperating with you brings no results anyway."
"That's because you're a monster."
"A monster who are quite aware to the world he lives in."
"Stop." Ashton sighed,
"We're going to that party too." Luke decided, looking at Ashton who seemed completely lost in the conversation.
"Are you crazy? Do you know how many are going to be there?"
"Stop." Ashton groaned and throwed his head back, "I only came here to tell you to watch out." Ashton looked at Liam.
And that ended the conversation.
