"How did it happened?" Michael glared at Luke.

"I was trying something new."

"With fire?"

"Yes." Luke shrugged. They were both watching as the man that Michael brought painted Luke's house, where the burn parts were.

One thing about Luke was that he liked everything cleaned and perfect and he couldn't stand imperfections.

He bite Ashton earlier that day and this time it wasn't just for the crave and taste he had, it was in order to make Ashton sleep a deep and long slumber so he could bring Michael and the other guy to fix his house.

He shielded his present but he felt it would be safer if he won't make any moves at all.

Ashton opened his eyes slowly and felt like he couldn't move. His neck was sore and it took him a few momenrs to realize he was no longer in the living room. He was in a different room and it was snowing outside. He turned his head to his right, feeling the soreness as he did, and then managed to stare out of the window properly and not just by the corner of his eye. He could now see the soft snow that filled the outside and fell to the ground.

The door to the room was pushed open, cutting Ashton from his long stare and making him blink,

"You're up."

Ashton ignored him as he kept staring at the window so Luke blocked his view.

"I painted my damaged house, I hope you won't burn it again."

"I hope so too."

"How long was I sleeping?" Ashton looked at him now.

"I think the better question is, how long were you awake."

"You spent most of the days sleeping." Luke finished.

"Because of you."

"Because you're weak."

"Leave me alone." Ashton turned his head to the other side.

he was thinking back about his parents and Liam again, the pain made his heart beat harder and then shrink, not letting him get some peace.

"I'm tired."

"I know you are." Liam mumbled as he picked up their plates. He offered Ashton to take a walk after they finish eating but Ashton was too tired and he couldn't control it. It was because of the pills Liam put in his drinks all the time and Liam himself didn't think it'll effect him this way.

"You can go, I won't lock." Ashton mumbled as he rested his head on the table.

"No, I think I'll go to sleep as well."

"Its like I can't get enough sleep." Ashton sighed.

"Its probably because of the work."

"I work half day Liam."

"Still."

"Can you pour me water?" Ashton raised his head to look at Liam.

"Sure."

Liam poured Ashton water from the faucet and then handed it to him.

"You think this will last forever?"

"Define this." Liam sat infront of him.

"This, those life."

"Probably. As long as there are other creatures out there, then I guess it won't change."

"Who had this idea? Bringing all the humans to the shell?"

"I have no idea. But its definitely safer for us."

"Its not that safe."

"What do you mean?" Liam tilted his head.

"The guards have guns. They can shot us if they want."

"They won't."

"Why not? What do they have to lose? Its not like someone will send them to jail."

"The guns are meant for the creatures outside. Nothing more."

"What kind of creatures there are out there?"

"Vampires, werewolves, witches, probably more kinds." Liam muttered as if he just thought about it. He knew exactly what kind of creatures were out there but he didn't want to scare him or increase his fear from the outside because eventually, he knew Ashton will live outside.

He won't have a choice.

"Have you ever seen any of them?" Ashton's eyes lightened with curiosity.

"No." Liam lied, pretending he lived in the shell his entire life, like Ashton.

"Who's the cruelest?"

"Ahh.. probably vampires. They feed from humans while others just.. I don't know how to explaine it to you." Liam rubbed his stubble.

Vampires did fed from humans but other creatures were just cruel as well, torturing, raping and beating just to have a satisfaction.

"Would you leave?"

"The shell?"

"Yes."

"No."

"Not alone of course, but with your parents."

"Still no. This is the safest place for humans."

"But they might break the shevll one day. Think about it, were depended in those outside."

"I know but being in the open is more.. risky."
