Luke came back when it was already day light outside and Ashton was still sleeping. He climbed upstairs to the bathroom and took a quick shower without really being quiet, and eventually woke Ashton. Ashton walked downstairs and stared at the front door, Luke was upstairs and he figured it was a chance.

But it was freezing outside and he could barely see anything through the window.

He sanked in thoughts while staring out if the window, it wasn't fair the way humans didn't get to decide their fate like other creaturs, and it wasn't fair that he couldn't even choose to die because some vampire decided to keep him alive.

He wanted to die but he didn't want to fall in the hands of other creatures and suffer torments.

"Don't even think about it." Luke called as he passed by him shirtless and walked into the kitchen.

Ashton stared at him with a frown as he looked back just as he passed, he was wearing two shirts and still felt the cold while Luke wore just pants.

"Aren't you cold?" Ashton followed him to the kitchen.

"No. I'm a vampire."

"And if you'll stand in the rain?"

"Still no."

"I'm hungry."

"And you're feeling better." Luke realized that Ashton was actually standing and asking for food. He didn't ate for three days and at first Ashton thought about starve himself to death, but if Luke wasn't planning on letting him die, there was no use.

"Yeah I guess." Ashton shrugged.

"I don't have anything in here, I have to go outside."

"Okay." Ashton nodded and walked back to the living room, sitting on the couch and staring at the window. If he looked for a chance to run then this was it, Luke will be far and he won't be able to sense him.

"I think I'll take you with me." Luke walked into the living room moments after Ashton.

"I'm not going out, its freezing outside." Ashton announced.

"I didn't ask."

"I'll get sick and die."

"I'll give you more clothes."

"This isn't helping, I'm a human." Ashton looked down at the clothes he was wearing.

"You're not human."

"Don't start with that." Ashton throwed his head back against the couch.

Luke left the living room and took two more shirts from his closet, he grabbed a hat and shoes and returned to the living room.

"Put those on, you'll survive."

"What's your problem? I don't want to go outside."

"And I didn't gave you a choice, so put those on or I'll drag you outside like that."

"I'm not going." Ashton shifted his gaze to the window.

"I'm starting to lose my patient."

"Other creaturs will torture me."

"And you think a locked door will stop them? They can still get in."

Ashton didn't reply and kept staring at the window, ignoring Luke.
Luke closed the distance between them and sat right beside Ashton, leaning to his neck.

"We can always stay here and do something else." Luke whispered, and Ashton knew exactly what he meant. He hated it when Luke bite him and he hated even more how close he felt the cold that vibrated from Luke's body.

"You're cold." Ashton pushed him away.

"So?"

"So stay away from me, I'm trying to stay warm."

"I don't think so." Luke stood up.

"Its either I'm feeding or you're feeding." Luke glared at him sternly now, cutting off the play.

Ashton stared up at him for a few seconds and then took the shirts Luke brought and pulled it over his head, doing the same with the second shirt and the hat.

When he was ready, Luke led him outside and to Ashton's luck, the rain has stopped.

"This is the way to kill me just so you know," Ashton spoke when Luke started leading him down the street.

"They're staring at me." Ashton whispered while tugging his palms more into the sleeve in order to keep his hands warm. He glanced back to see Luke messing with his phone, not listening to him. He already felt like they were there for too long and he just wanted to go back befor falling into someone's else grace.

"I changed my mind, I'm not hungry anymore."

"Ashton we're already here,"

Ashton took another glance back and then looked at the options of food that stood infront of him.

"I don't know any of this."

Luke sighed and took off his eyes from his phone, "I'll take everything."
The man from across the front desk nodded and left to start packing the food.

"There's a wolf." Ashton kept staring out of the window of the store and his eyes widened when he noticed a huge wolf walking in the street among the rest of the people.

"I can see that."

"This is crazy." Ashton muttered to himself.

"Now you see why you better off dead or at my place."

"So kill me." Ashton glanced at him.

"Funny."

Luke waited by the front desk while Ashton kept himself beside the window, staring outside and mumbling things.

When a man came into the store, looking big and intimidating, Ashton kept his gaze on the man and immediately stayed alerted. The man looked at Ashton for a few seconds and Ashton stayed frozen in his place,

"Oh come on, he's not even a werewolf." Luke chuckled and Ashton obsereved the man again. He had no idea what he was but Luke made it sound like he wasn't dangerous.

"You still better fear me." The man glared at Ashton for a few moments befor walking past Luke and ordering his own food. Ashton stayed far from Luke and the man and Luke rollled his eyes.

"Come here," Luke told him.

"I prefer this spot."

"Don't be such a baby."

"Are you kidding me?" Ashton shot him a look. Just a moment ago he talked about how Ashton better off dead then alive in this world.

The food was ready and Luke didn't spent another second in that store.
