"You seem lost." The werewolf towered over Ashton's sitting body.
"Do you need anything?" He kneeled infront of Ashton. If it wasn't for Ashtons instincts, that grew stronger, Ashton would have thought that this werewolf was a good man but he could feel the bad vibe that drifted from his body.
"What's your name?"
When Ashton didn't reply the man decided to stop acting nicely, he grabbed Ashton by the coller of his shirt and brought their faces closer while growling, "I asked for your name blondi,"
Ashton just stared, not caring at all, and that brought more anger to the man. He let out another growl befor pushing Ashton's body back and making him lay on the ground. He stood up and kicked his stomach, making Ashton send his hand and push the man away by an instinct.
The man flew back and crashed in a tree, recovering quickly from the hit but not recoving from what just happened.
He was positive Ashton was human.
Ashton pulled himself to sit and he knew he could try and fight the man even if he most likely not to win, but he just held himself back, not letting his powers take over. What will be the point? He wanted to be dead and fighting for his life wasn't the way.
"What are you, boy?"
Ashton once again didn't reply and when the man hit his face again he didn't resisted, he just let himself fall to the ground. He closed his eyes and forced himself not to fight back despite the hardness he had to put his body in. He was never the one to sit still and that was the main reason for his fights with the gaurds. And even after getting beaten everyday, he still refused to let things past and not take the risk of taking a punch at that day.
"Dad?"
"What?"
"Where is mom?" Ashton shoke his father once again.
"She went for a little bit, she'll be back soon."
"But where?" Ashton kept going and his father forced his eyes open. If Ashton woke up and Mary wasn't here then it means he has to stay awake.
"I don't know Ashton," he turned on his back and Ashton was rolled aside since he was sitting on his father's back until now. Ashton sat crossed legs on the bed and stared at his father while waiting for something to be done.
"I really don't know Ashton."
"Can I go look for her?"
"She'll be back soon."
"You keep repeating things." Ashton jumped from the bed and walked out of the bedroom. He was only six and sometimes his fathsr felt like he was talking to a teenager.
"Ashton!" He called and then stood up from the bed and walked out of the bedroom to where Ashton was climbing on the window seat and staring at the window.
"You miss her that much?" He joked and then wrapped his arms around Ashton's body, hugging him tightly.
"Dad." Ashton whined when he was squeezed too tightly.
Ashton was just about to jump from his father's hands when a horrible scream was sound and instead he clinged to his father safe arms.
His father looked out of the window and saw a woman's figure laying on the ground with a her arms spread to her sides.
He couldn't just go outside and leave Ashton by himself, so he wrapped an arm around him and took him outside with him, walking fast toward the woman. And as he camed closer he could already recognize it wasnt Mary for sure, because he could see that her hair was brown and that she was thicker in her body.
"Don't look." His father shoved his head to rest on his shoulder and Ashton closed his eyes tightly.
He came closer to the woman along with a few more people and when they all surrounded her, he saw the blood that dripped from her mouth and knew she was sick.
But there wasn't much he or anyone else could have done, she was sick and there wasn't a proper madical help in the shell.
The sight was horrible and Ashton could feel the bed tension that was in the air, between all the people around him, making him look up just as his mother came into view, standing beside their house.
"Mom!" Ashton shoke himself from his father's grasp and he let him. He was about to run to her but then he turned around for just a split second and saw the blood.
It was disgusting and terrifying but it didn't cause Ashton to freeze, instead he turned around and ran to his mother as fast as his legs could carry him.
She immediately picked him up and wrapped her arms around him, kissing his cheek and hugging him tight.
The commotion was soon over, and the guards evacauted the body by the time it was dark outside.
Both of his parents were silent that day.
When they climbed to their bed and Ashton craweled in between them, they knew there's no escape from his quetions
"What happened to her?" Ashton faced his father.
"She was sick."
"Is she dead now?"
"Yes."
"In heaven?"
"Yes." This time his mother replied and wrapped her arms around Ashton's small body, kissing the back of his head and squeezing him.
Both of them knew that if any of them will ever get sick, then they might die because there isn't much to do in here to deal with dieases.
Ashton drifted to sleep and in that night he dreamed about how heaven will be like.
