Ashton ran in the long hallway but it just didn't seem to end and he couldn't catch his breath any longer. He opened another door but it only turned to another hallway and he felt so helpess at that moment, not knowing what to do or how to get out of this place.
A loud scream sounded, the kind of scream that pierced his ears and he winched, he placed his palms on his ears and kneeled, his eyes shot tightly.
He opened his eyes just as everything went silence and the dull lights switched off completely, making everything turn black. He held his breath and then stood up, reaching his hands out for some guidance but nothing came to his help, it was like the walls that were beside him disappeared and he was now in a huge room, unable to feel the boundaries of it.
He could only hear his own panting right now and the silence scared him more then the screaming.
"Ashton." He heard a faint whisper.
"Ashton." It sounded again and this time, louder.
When it turned to a scream, Ashton jolted awake.
He looked around and was relieved to be in the same familier room he slept in for the last few weeks. A heavy breathe left his mouth and he felt suffocated despite knowing it was just a dream. He left the bed and walked downstairs.
He pulled his hair back and swallowed hard again befor taking himself a glass of water.
"Luke?" He called but no answer was heard in return.
"Luke!" He called again but he knew it wasn't necessary because Luke was a vampire and he could hear him even if he will just whisper.
He walked back upstairs and then everything turned black again. His heart started beating faster even though his eyes adjusted and he could see through the dark. It wasn't the type of dark that was in his dream and he could see the frame of the doors and walls.
He walked into Luke's room and felt the urge to rush everything and just find Luke already.
He looked at the empty room and frowned. He was just about to turn around when someone wrapped his hand around Ashton's neck and blocked his airways. Ashton fought and started kicking and scratching the man's arm but the man was stronger and he managed to drag Ashton to the bathroom easily. Ashton's heart started beating even wilder when he saw the filled bath and he knew what he is going to go through.
He kicked hard but it was like the man was made of steel and he wouldn't budge. He shoved Ashton into the bathtub and drowned him.
Ashton resisted with his whole body but nothing worked.
His air was starting to run out and then he stayed still.
He was still conscious but no longer breathing.
And then, just befor losing his conscious, Luke's face appeared infront of him, letting him see who drowned him.
And then he woke up again.
He panted even harder then the time he woke up in his dream and looked around again, afraid to leave the bed.
"Ashton!" Luke yelled again and Ashton turned his head to the right, watching Luke as he was kneeled on the bed beside him.
"What happened?"
"Luke, you.." Ashton stood up from the bed and pinned himself to the wall.
"I what?"
"You killed me."
"It was just a dream." Luke approached him.
"And now? How will I know its not a dream?"
"What?" Luke frowned.
"I kept waking up but the nightmare wasn't over."
"Its over this time, I promise."
"But-"
"Caius is playing with your head again."
Ashton let his breath calm down as he stood silently and tried processing everything that just happened.
"It was horrible, I wasn't breathing." Ashton's eyes were still on the ground.
"Its over."
Ashton nodded and Luke closed the distance between them, lifting Ashton's chin up and staring into his brown worried eyes.
"Youre only seventeen, you shouldn't worry that much."
"I'm still half a human." Ashton joked and Luke smiled. He pressed their lips together and pinned Ashton more into the wall. He could feel the distant in the kiss, Ashton was still mad at him but at least he accepted his apology and decided to move on.
He placed his hands on both sides of Ashton's head and Ashton sighed into his lips with relief, feeling a lot better now that he was free from the nightmare. He felt like he was trapped, like something was bounding him to the dream and refusing to let him wake up.
