He wasn't feeling good today and he hadn't spoken to Luke at all. Luke was distanced as well and he didn't tried talking to him. Ashton was deep in thoughts and he kept staring at the outside. He sat on the small stair of the front porch and just stared at the wet grass.

When Luke stepped outside Ashton took a deep breath befor asking what he wanted to ask.

"Where are all the bodies?" He looked up to meet Luke's gaze.

"There isn't bodies. They burned everything." Luke replied, crashing the last strands of hope that Ashton held. He wanted to try and found his parent's bodies, to try and bring them back with his own powers and if not then at least to bury them properly, have a place to go talk to them.

"The shell is not exist anymore."

"I want to see it."

"There's nothing to see."

Ashton then looked away and bite his lip harshly, trying not to be upset.

He stood up and walked on the grass, creating a bit of a distance between him and Luke. He someohow found himself laying on the grass and staring at the cloudless skies.

"Just stop going around what's bothering you and say it."

"This is what's bothering me!"

"Fine." Luke rolled his eyes.

Ashton closed his eyes and tried staying calm.

"What hurts?" Luke stood above his head, shadowing him.

"My head and ribs and.. everything else." Ashton sighed.

Luke could tell he was in pains but he knew that wasn't what's bothering him. He was in grief and even though Luke had a hard time understanding him or feeling compassion he could see that Ashton was still just a young boy that had to deal with death.

He kneeled and lifted Ashton's shirt enough to reveal his ribs and placed his palm on the blue marks, slowly easing the pain away.

"There's a reason immortals and vampires didn't got along, Ashton,"

"Which is?"

"My powers aren't good for you, it might kill you if I'll use them too much on you."

"So maybe you should."

"Maybe you should watch your mouth."

"Or what?"

"Or I'll make you watch it." Luke shot him a glare.

Ashton moved Luke's hand away and pulled his shirt down while pulling himself to sit, "You're not in charge of me so don't act-"

"I don't see you lasting outside." Luke shoke his head.

"And that's a bad thing?"

"I thought you already learned your lesson after what happened."

"It was just one man." Ashton dragged himself a bit back, staying away from Luke.

"He wasn't even that cruel if all he did was to stab you."

"He was going to do more." Ashton mumbled.

"And then you killed him?"

"No. I mean yes, but I didn't mean to-"

"Its a good thing you did, he wouldn't have killed you that simply."

"Its a good thing I killed? Are you kidding me?"

"You have a lot to learn." Luke shoke his head and walked into the house.

Ashton closed his eyes again and stayed laying on the grass, Luke left him alone in the house this morning and he could have gone outside but he didn't.

And Luke didn't mind either because Ashton won't dare to go outside after what happened with that man. It terrified him and Luke could see it despite his efforts not to show it.

He didn't want to kill again. He didn't want to kill ever again. The memory was still flashing strongly in his head, causing him to winch everything he thought about the man.

He was scared to be someone else, to be one of them and kill or hurt without caring about his actions.
