Entry 4:
I am not one to dance. I guess I never really had anyone to dance with. I mean, I know how, but still... I'm just hoping, that in the future, I will take a chance. But for now, I'll just wait it out.

I showed Xavier to our first class. The teacher smiled at Zavier, "I am Miss Jenkins, it is so nice to meet you... Zavier," she said. "Yeah..." Zavier said. I scooted away, and went straight to my seat, not making eye contact with my best friend, Carla Evergreen. From my peripheral vision, I could see her light brown hair move with her head to look at me. "Okay," Miss Jenkins said smiling.
Zavier didn't say anything, he only nodded. How awkward... "Anyhow, please choose an open seat," Miss Jenkins said happily. Zavier looked over at me, and saw the kid next to me. I saw a couple of girls with open seats next to them, bat their eyelashes at him and making weird faces at him. Zavier ignored them, and walked up to the kid next to me, "You're in my seat," Zavier said, kind of coldly. "U-uhh, o-ohh," the kid stuttered, his voice slightly cracking.
Miss Jenkins looked at Zavier, "Mr. Zavier, is there a reason why you must sit there?" she asked him. Zavier looked up at her, "My partner, Dusk Sinclaire, stays next to me or near me at all times," he said. I looked up at him, wishing I had the power to burn holes in his head. Miss Jenkins looked shocked and happy, "Oh! Well, I'm happy you have someone!" she exclaimed. What did she mean by "have someone" ? The kid squirmed under Zavier's stare, and immediately moved.
"Oh yes! Speaking of partners, we're having an assignment. It's on what type of beast you would be," Miss Jenkins said. For some reason, Miss Jenkins is hooked on paranormal and mythical creatures. She continued, "You will take the surveying test. Keep in mind, you may be a Halfling, a Pureblood, or Changeling. In the project, you must write a two or three paragraph essay together, and you each must help come up with a design of what you each may look like, and it's due in a month," she finished.
I tried to avoid Zavier, because of the daggers I've been receiving. It was very difficult, what with all of our classes being the same, and him saying that I'm his partner for everything. I managed to get away at the end of the day, though. My whole family was already ready, and were waiting for me. I rushed to put on a dress, and we left quickly.
We got to the ball, and it was everything I expected. It was like a fairy tale. Both of my sisters wandered off, with their 'dates' and my parents disappeared on me too. I made my way across the room, and sat at the reserved table with my name plate. I wasn't with my family, but with some other people. I didn't bother looking at their name plates. 1. It would take away the surprise and 2. I really didn't care.
I sat there, sipping on some water, and watching as almost everyone went on the dance floor. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked over and saw Zavier. He sat down next to me, "Enjoying the Ball?" he asked. I nodded, " I guess," I answered. "Have you got any dance requests from people?" he asked curiously. I shook my head, "No. I'm not really one to dance," I said. He didn't answer.
After a couple of seconds, the Queen, Serine Tour, stood at the stage. She looked exactly like Celine. "The King wishes you a happy night, and hopes that the Prince is having fun too. As you all know, my son came back from a business trip. We shall not tell or sow who he is, but if you do find him... well it's up to him to decide," she said smiling, "Please continue, and have as much fun as you can."
Zavier was still next to me. He got a lot of offers for a dance, but he politely declined. I got to get food, and so did Zavier. "Why are you staying with me?" I asked. "I told you we're sticking together," he said. I sat down before him, and that's wen I saw it. My heart just about stopped. The guy I've had a crush on was walking around talking to people. He had blonde hair, green eyes, and the nicest smile. I met him in the library at my school, and immediately knew he was a paranormal being, a pureblood wolf to be exact.
He walked over, and sat down across from me, and that's when I finally read the name plate, "Aiden Banks." I felt Xavier shift a little. Aiden smiled at me, "It's nice seeing you, Miss Sinclaire," he said. I became flustered, "Y-yes, you too," I said. From the corner of my eye I saw Zavier roll his eyes. When Aiden left to get food, I looked at Zavier. "What?" he asked. "I saw you roll your eyes, why did you do that?" I asked.
"And is this even your seat?" I asked. He turned the name plate towards me, which was printed very clearly, "Zavier Slater." I blinked a couple of times, and shook my head. "Why are you getting all touchy?" he asked. "I am not," I said. "Yes. Yes you are..." he said. He thought for a second and snapped his fingers, "Could it be that you probably like Mr. Aiden Banks?" he whispered.
"No," I lied. "Oh really? That's not what I heard," he said. "Did Carla tell you?" I asked. He shook his head, "No, you did," he said. I frowned. "Why don't you ask him to dance?" he said. "No..." I mumbled. "Why? The worst that could happen is him saying no. You've gotta take chances," he said. Aiden got back, and finished his food quickly.
Zavier nudged my leg, implying that I ask. Zavier got up, gave me a thumbs up, and went somewhere. I guess he was right. I've got to try... "Umm... Aiden?" I asked. He looked up at me, and smiled, "Yes?" he answered. "Would you like to dance with me?" I asked, not looking up at him. "No," he said. "Oh..." I mumbled. He looked at me, and left. I looked around the room, but I never saw him. I sat there in silence. I was expecting a rejection, but it still hurts.
Zavier walked over, "Hey, where'd he go?" he asked. I didn't answer. "Are you okay? What happened?" I heard him ask. I could feel my eyes begin to water. "... Dusk..." he said. "He said no!" I exclaimed slightly. It was loud enough to show I was upset, but not loud enough to where everyone heard it. Zavier said nothing. We sat there, and it was almost time to go. I heard him get up, and walk.
He's probably leaving... Something blocked my light. I looked up and saw Zavier standing in front of me wit his hand out. "Dance with me," he said. "Why?" I asked. "You know how I said you have to take chances. I wasn't wrong. You gave it your best shot, so let me be Aiden's substitute dancer," he said. I stared at his hand. "Well?" he asked.
I shook my head and grabbed it. He helped me up, and showed me his real smile. I guess he was right... I got to see something amazing and to actually take a chance.
