Entry 7:
I sometimes get this burning in my throat. It's like being thirsty, but it can't be quenched by normal drinks. Everytime this happened, my mother would give me pills. She said they would help me, and to always keep them with me.... so I did. One day, I forgot to take them, and ended up in the nurse's office. She said I was suffering from "anemia." I asked my mum what that was, and she didn't answer. She never did, so I looked it up. When I finally knew what it was, I made a valid connection. The vampire part of me is still there, and needs blood. The pills I was given were iron pills, subsitution pills. At that moment, I realized that everyone had strong desires that could only be controlled cautiously.

I trailed behind Zavier and Carmen. She was going on about how she used to live. She used to be a cheerleader when she was betrayed by her members. They were jealous of her, so they drugged her and left her at the school at night. She couldn't see, so when she was walking, she didn't know where she was heading, and ended up plumitting down the staircase.
If I sounded mean, I didn't mean to. Her story is actually very sad. Now she is stuck in purgattory, awaitting the day of her official judgement. When we got to the doors, Carmen stopped suddenly. I looked back at her, and Zavier did too. "Well? Come on," I said. "I can't. I've never been able to leave," she said. Zavier reached in and clamped something on her wrist.
It looked like a bracelet, but then it didn't. "This is an item that can let you leave for a certain amount of time. Once we make that contract, you won't need it anymore," Zavier said, walking ahead again. Carmen hesitantly stuck her arm out of the door. Seeing that she could walk out, she rushed out. We walked all the way to the Paranormal City.
People didn't pay attention to us. We walked into a tall building, with a sign that I couldn't read. Zavier walked in and talked to the brown haired man sitting at his desk. I couldn't hear what they were saying. Then, Carmen and I were motioned over. "This is Dustin Slow, also called the Judger," Zavier said.
"Nice to meet you. I understand that you have a problem, miss Carmen?" he asked, his green eyes flickering up at us from his desk. "I would like to make a contract, whatever that means,"she said. Dustin smiled, "Wonderful," he said. He took out papers and had her sign it. "What exactly does this contract do?" I wondered out loud.
Dustin looked up at me, "A very nice question, young lady. These contracts extend your time here on Earth to make an ending you deserve," he said. "Kind of like a video game with two endings?" I asked. "Precisely. But the contract miss Carmen is making, is special. She must fulfill her duty as you and Zavier's... helper. If she fails, then she will be sent straight back to purgattory, and will be immediately judged on her failure," Dustin said, slightly menacingly.
I nodded mutely. Making and signing a contract seems... terrifying... "...Is there some sort of payment in this?" I asked. Dustin looked up at me quizzically. "I meant for you. Do you get paid to do this?" I asked. He smiled, "With normal customers, yes. But, since Zavier and I... are... well... 'partners' in a way and I am indebted to him, I shall do this of no charge," he said.
I nodded again. Only one question remained, but I'm not sure I would recieve a straight answer. How exactly does Zavier know a guy like Dustin...and why? When Carmen was done, Zavier took off the bracelet thing. Carmen was grateful to Zavier, and I... was just there. Carmen said she would stay one more night at the school, and decide where she lives from then on.
Zavier and I nodded, leaving Carmen to go back to the school on her own. It was already late, and I was pretty sure my family were already home looking for me. "Do you need me to walk with you?" Zavier asked. "Not really. You can if you want," I said, walking ahead. He caught up with me and walked next to me. Every step I took, I felt weaker. My knees were shaking, and my legs were wobbly.
Zavier put his hand on my arm to stop me, "Are you okay?" he asked. I nodded, "Yeah... I think I'm just exhausted," I said. He still kept his hand beneath my arm to help me walk. We were almost to my house, and my head was spinning. What's happening to me...? I took one wobbly step forward, and saw the whole world rise up around me. All I remeber was Xavier's concerned voice, someone shaking me to wake up, and darkness consuming me.

I woke up to a bright light. My head pounding, and my throat burning. I tried to sit up, but failed. When my vision finally became clear, I noticed I was in a hospital. I sat up, successfully, and looked around. There were flowers in the corner of the room, one chair on each side of me, and a person in one of the chairs. They had their head down. They heard me move, and looked up at me. It was Zavier. "Are you okay?" he asked. I nodded, "I thin-" I tried to speak, but it made my throat hurt more. Zavier told me to stay quiet, so I did.
I heard a knock on the door, and Zavier & I looked up to see who it was. My dad was standing in the doorway, slightly flustered. "Dusk, are you okay? Are you hurt?" he asked. "I'm....fine," I said, flinching at the word fine. "What happened?" he asked. "I'll explain, Mr. Sinclaire..." Zavier said. Dad looked at Zavier, with a who-the-heck-are-you kind of look, and gave in, nodding. "We were walking back to your house from a job, and I noticed she was paler than she looked earlier," Zavier said.
"Wait! She actually went on a mission?!" my dad exclaimed. "Dad, I'm fine... I didn't get hurt there," I said. I could see my dad trembling with anger, and looking at Zavier, "Go on," he said through gritted teeth. I could see him trying to control himself. "She kept walking kind of wobbly, so I helped her walk. When we were by your house, she took one step, and just collapsed on the ground. I took her to the hospital, and used her phone to call you and your wife," Zavier finished.
My dad took the other seat, to the left of me, and calmed down. I was trying to think why this would happen when I rembered the pills. "D-dad... It's my fault," I said, coughing a little. He looked at me with concern, "What?" he asked lightly. "I-I didn't take those pills," I said, coughing again. My throat burned even more, and I could feel myself slipping away. "Where are they?" Dad asked frantically. "They're... in... my..." I didn't finish everything went dark again. I knew I should have been more cautious...
