Chapter 4

Tobins POV

I've been to 3 out of my 6 classes and I absolutely hated it! First days of school are easy but also a pain in the ass. All we really did was go over all the rules (which are going to be broken),  expectations, what we're going to learn, consequences ( pretty much you get 1 warning then straight to detention), yada yada yada.

Right now I'm in math class and thankfully it's almost time for lunch, I need a break from all of these rules and what nots. 'Just 15 more minutes Tobin... 15 more minutes.' I tried pretty much everything I could to pass time throughout the whole class, tapping my pencil, whistling, staring at the ceiling. Basically anything to zone out and not have to listen to all these rules over and over again. Every rule is the same as last years, they don't have to tell us the same stuff over and over again, it's pretty pointless cause rules are meant to be broken and that's exactly what a lot of people are gonna do, including me.

I looked at the clock again and saw only 10 minutes left. 'I can do this, just look down, don't look up, and I won't get frustrated. Think of all the happy things.' I was snapped out of my thoughts by a loud knock on the door. Mr.Rotella, our math teacher, went to open the door and when I saw who it was, my mouth just dropped. There, Ms.Morgan stood in the front of the classroom, beautiful as ever, with Mrs.Dwyer to her left.

"Good morning students!" Mrs.Dwyer said cheerfully.

"Good morning." The room is filled with groans and mumbling.

"Students, I would like you to welcome our new vice principal, Ms.Morgan." Ms.Morgan smiles a waves, everybody just stares at her with Puppy eyes and obviously it's making her uncomfortable, I can tell by the look in her eye. It makes me slightly annoyed and I decide to do something without fully thinking it through.

"Good morning Ms.Morgan!" I tell from the back of the room. Everybody snaps their head back towards me, I just sit there and smile. Ms.Morgan smiles back at me and looks directly at me, man, I think that smile could kill.

"Good morning ms...?" She looks slightly embarrassed for trying to say my name even tho she has no clue who I am,and honestly, it's kind of cute.

"Heath. Tobin Heath."

"Well, Ms.Heath, good morning to you too." She just stares at me, smiling that gorgeous smile of hers and I get butterflies. Wait... Why am I feeling butterflies? Suddenly I'm snapped out of my thoughts by the jocks, of course, ruining my mood again.

"Hey, Ms.Morgan, don't even bother thinking she's a good student cause she's probably the worst kid anyone has every dealt with!" He laughs along with everyone in the class.I feel slightly embarrassed and I see ms.Morgans smile turn into a frown. She looks at the jock, Eric, then looks back at me with a look of sorrow in her eyes. She was about to say something when the lunch bell rung. Oh shit.

Before anyone could stop them, everybody in the room ran for the door, Mr.Rotella and Mrs.Dwyer made it out the door quickly to resolve some hallway traffic and then I just see ms.Morgan get trampled by everyone who just ran out of the door.

"HEY! GET OFF OF HER! YOU CANT JUST TRAMPLE PEOPLE LI THAT!" I yell and obviously nobody was listening cause they all still shoved eachother and ran out of the door.

After a couple seconds of pushing people out the way and telling them to move it, I reach Ms.Morgan.

"Hey Ms.Morgan, you alright?" I ask looking at her making sure she was ok.

"Yes, just got knocked down and trampled," she laughs a little and I can't help but laugh along. " thank you for staying back to check on me... Tobin. Right?" I'm surprised she remembers my name.

"Haha, yes, I'm surprised you remembered. So you sure you're alright?" I ask one more time making sure she's alright.

"Yes Tobin, you should get to lunch now. Also, come by my office later on, I would like to reward you for staying after to check on me. That was very thoughtful of you. Thank you."

"Yeah, no problem. And I'll pick up my reward after school haha, first good thing to happen all day. Well, I'll see you around Ms.Morgan." I wave and head to lunch. Man, this day just gets better and better doesn't it!
