Chapter 20

The next day--

Tobins POV

Today was my first day of my "punishment" with Alex.

But quite honestly, it just feels like more bonding time, plus she helps me out with all of my homework so that makes this even more special.

Mrs.Dwyer came by a couple times to make sure I wasn't any trouble to Alex, but Alex made sure to tell Mrs.Dwyer I was behaving myself, and I was. But that was because I was with the woman who makes me feel some type of way and in all honestly, I didn't want to ruin my chances with her.

It was lunch time right now and Alex said that I could go eat lunch with Hope and Ashlyn and then when the bell rings to come straight back.

I got up and started walking to the cafeteria and grabbed a tray and some food.

Our school offers this thing where you can actually get pizza everyday if you wanted to, or you could have whatever they were serving. But I make it known that I am a huge fan of pizza, I could eat it all day and everyday without a problem, so that's exactly what I got.

I looked around for a little until I spotted Hope and ash sitting at their normal table. I don't know why but ever since we got here, it's always just been me and Hope, and now Ashlyn but, we don't sit with anyone else, but I don't really mind. I just don't want people to think that we're loners... But again, they know we're the badasses of the school so they don't really bother us unless they're looking for trouble.

I take a seat right next to Hope and of course, she wants answers to my actions.

"So what did you do this time and what's your punishment?" She asks.

"Well, long story short, I yelled at a guy and spit in his face and now I have to spend 2 weeks with Alex." I say as a smile and Hope and Ashlyn just laugh.

"You are so damn lucky Mrs.Dwyer didn't want to take you if not you'd be miserable as hell." Ashlyn says and it causes me to laugh.

"Well what can I say, I guess luck was just on my side and I get to spend the next 2 weeks with someone I actually want to spend time with." I say with a smirk.

"Speaking of Alex, have you guys progressed?" Hope asks as she tilts her head.

"Actually, we did... A lot." I say and Hope looks in shock.

"Tobin please tell me you guys didn't screw yet." Hope says as she shakes her head

"No. What I meant is yes we progressed, I kissed her, and she kissed me and then I found out she does in fact have feelings for me and I also asked her on a date this weekend." I say and Hope starts to laugh.

"Pay up ash!" Hope says and I look at them confused.

"Me and Hope had a bet on when you guys would go on a date. I said you'll finally have the guts to do it sometime next month and hope said this month. So she won." Ashlyn said as she pulled out $10 from her wallet.

Me, Hope, and Ashlyn have gotten along really well in the month and a half we've known each other. Ash is like mine and Hopes 3rd amigo and she's like our best friend. The 3 of us have like the bond that makes us look like sisters and I'm actually pretty thankful I met ash.

"You guys are assholes." I say as I pout.

"Yeah, the assholes who are your only best friends." Hope says as she puts Ashlyn's $10 bill in her back pocket.

"So where are you planning to take her?" Ashlyn asks as she sips her Gatorade.

"Well, I don't know. Probably the top of the hill and have a picnic there since we're not exactly supposed to be together. So it has to be somewhere kind of private so we don't get spotted by anyone." I say.

I really hadn't come up with an idea just cause usually the only dates I know of are the ones at restaurants or the movies or something. I haven't really had many dates, only a couple but that was wayyyy way back.

"Yeah, why don't you guys have a picnic up there and then after you can take her to the beach to watch the sunset and then go from there? It's romantic and pretty private." Hope says as she shrugs her shoulders.

That's actually a great idea. I love to surf, plus I am kind of a sucker for sunsets so what's better than surfing, a sunset, and a gorgeous woman to watch it with. Hope is a genius sometimes!

"That actually sounds like a great idea, you guys are smart. I'll plan it more later cause the bells about to ring." I say and as if on cue, the bell rings signaling us to go to our next class, in my case, back to Alex's room.

"Well I'll catch up with you later tobs, why don't me you and ash hang later? Maybe you could bring Alex along." Hope says before we head out separate ways.

"Yeah I'll ask her if she wants to come. Ash you wanna hang later?" I ask before she heads off.

"Yeah, I don't have anywhere to be so let's do it." She says.

"Alright guys, I'm off to Alex's office again, I'll see y'all after school." I say as I wave goodbye to them.

"Later tobs" they say in unison and I'm off to Alex's room again.

When I get there I see that nobody is in there and it's empty, she must be still on her lunch break so I decide to play a little game with her.

I'm planning to scare the shit out of her when she walks through that door.

I close the door behind me as In the corner of the room crouched behind one of the cabinets so I'm out of sight.

And when she walks through the doors, as soon as she closes the door I'm going to pop out and scare the living day lights out of her.

This should be fun. Now I just gotta play the waiting game.

Authors note- Hey guys, sorry for the late update but at least I updated today! I actually had dinner with my grandma cause she's visiting from Germany so sorry for being late. Also, instead of 3 updates in one day I will have to do 2 updates for 2 cause I have to write a speech and it's due Monday so 3 updates plus a speech is too much for me right now.
