Can this be?

Chapter 25

Tobins POV

It's strange to hear her talk about what happened to her in the past.

She's such an awesome, sweet, funny, and amazing person. And to know that 2 guys put her through hell just infuriates me.

I pull her into a bear hug, letting her know that I'm always gonna be here for her and I would never do anything like that to hurt her.

She cries into my shoulder and I don't want to let her go until she feels safe in my arms. It hurts my heart to see her cry like this.

"Alex, I'm so sorry that you had to go through that. You don't deserve that kind of treatment, you're such a special person and I hope you know I would never, ever do that to you." I say as I kiss her forehead.

"Yours is worse than mine... I-I can't believe you had to deal with any of that at such a young age." She says as she starts to calm down.

Sure, my life was definitely far from easy. But that doesn't mean what she had to deal with was any less that what I had to deal with.

But, if you think of it and a very, very weird way, who knows where I would've been if I didn't go through all of that.

I sure as hell am not saying that what they did was right, cause they put me through absolute hell... But, if I didn't go through all of that, there's a chance I wouldn't be sitting here hugging Alex.

There's that chance that I wouldn't be right here with her.

I probably wouldn't be here right here, right now, right with Alex, if I wasn't put through all of that.

So in a strange way, if I get to spend my time with her, all of the hell I went through, all of the shit I've been put through, if I'm able to be her and spend my days with Alex, it's worth it.

"Well you know what, I'm here right here, right now, with you and that's all that matters. To me, being put through all of that is so worth it if I get to spend my time with you. I don't care what you've done in your past or what's happened in your past, I don't care about any of that cause Alex, I like you for who you are and I wouldn't want you to change." I say as I lay down and pull her into my chest so that she's cuddled up to me. I get that familiar scent of lavender and vanilla, it's intoxicating to me and I feel as if I can never get enough.

I look down at her and give her a goofy smile because I know that always cheers her up.

She smiles and laughs at me which sounds like music to my ears. One of the best sounds I have ever heard, and one of the best feelings I have ever had (other than kissing Alex) is making her laugh.

We sit there cuddling and enjoying each other's presence until I Remember I have to finish planning my date with Alex tomorrow. I am going to have Hope and Ashlyn help me out with a couple of things so I need to go back to my apartment and plan some more stuff with them.

"Hey babe, I need to go meet Hope and Ash back at my apartment, they wanted to talk to me about who knows what cause we haven't had much time to catch up together." I say to her not noticing that I just called her babe.

She gives me a confused look and give her that 'what did I do?' Look and she smiles at me.

Ok, now I'm confused.

"You... You just called me babe." She says as she smiles even more at me and I feel myself start to blush.

"I-I-I I'm so sorry. I d-d-didn't mean to like uh, uh, c-call you babe.. It kind of just like slipped out."

"It's okay... I actually.. I actually like you calling me that." She says as she blushes too.

She's cute when she blushes.

"I'll remember to keep that in mind." I say as I get up pulling her to the door with me.

Before I leave, she tugs my arm causing me to look back at her and I am Met again by her amazingly soft lips.

That all to familiar taste of coconut comes back and I our kiss is very soft and passionate.  She puts her arms around my neck and tilts her head to get a better angle of the kiss. Her soft, pink, tasty lips move in sync with mine and it's getting so much harder to pull back from it.

I place my hands on her hips and run my tongue along her bottom lip asking for entrance.

She allows me in and I let my tongue explore her mouth and she lets out a small moan.

'Oh god that was so freakin sexy' I say to myself and I feel myself start to get turned on.

Very reluctantly, I pull back but still let our foreheads touch.

"I will never get tired of kissing you." She says as she opens her beautiful baby blue eyes and looks into my chocolate brown ones.

"That's exactly what I was thinking." I say as I pull back but pull her in for another hug.

"I'll pick you up like around 5:15 tomorrow. Sound good?" I ask as I make my way to the front door.

"Sounds great. I can't wait." She says as she opens the door allowing me to walk out.

"So run through the plan one more time." Ash says as she takes another bite of her Apple.

"So I'm going to pick her up at her apartment at around 5:15. So somewhere before that time, we need to go up the hill and set up the candles and the blanket. So when I go pick up Alex, we're going to go eat up there and then go to the beach and watch the sunset which should be around 6:30. After that, we're going to head back to her apartment to freshen up and then after we're done, we're gonna come back here. While all of that is going on, you and Hope are going to be setting the room up with the flower pedals, flowers, the giant teddy bear, the music, the wine, and the chocolate. I'll tell you when we're on our way over to her apartment so you guys still have time to clean up some stuff and get all of your stuff and get out. So when we get here, she's gonna be surprised and then we're gonna dance a little,  watch a couple movies and basically hang out. She's also staying over." I say reviewing the plan.

"So me and Ashlyn both get $10 for all of this right?" Hope says and we all laugh at her comment.

'I hope this all works out.'

Basketball tryouts have been interfering with my writing time but I'm happy that I got one out today, also  I'm trying my best to get a chapter out everyday.
