Can this be?

Chapter 18

Tobins POV

"Tobin what the hell?" She says in a calm voice.

"Well, I can explain." I say hoping she won't get too upset.

"Yeah, you're damn right you're going to explain. Sit." She say pointing to the chair in front of her.

I obey her command and sit down in the chair in front of her.

"Ok, you're most likely going to get mad for what I'm about to tell you. But I have reasons for what I did." I say.

She groans and puts her head and in hands. "And what exactly did you do?" She asks and I can clearly tell that she is disappointed in me.

It really sucks to hear her like this, I know all she wants is the best for me so it sucks to let her down.

"Ok I just wanna start out by saying I'm sorry." I say hoping to ease her mood.

"Tobin, that's not a good sign, what did you do?" She asks looking at me curiously.

" So, uh, I was in Mrs.Moores room just doing my work. Actually, that's a lie, I spaced out, but anyways.. I was behind this group of guys and they start to talk about. Uh. Someone really important and really close to me and I got fed up with it." I start, I didn't want to tell her they were talking about her unless it was absolutely required. So I continue on with my story.

" so I told the guys to shut up, we argued back and forth. I kept telling him and telling him to shut up and stop disrespecting this person cause she really means a lot to me and it bothers me when they talk about her like that, but the guy wouldn't stop and I just snapped. I got up and got right in his face a pulled him up by the collar and started yelling in his face. I told him to stop disrespecting her cause she was one of the best people I have ever met and I called him a pervert. Cause in all honesty, he is. And then he got up and pushed me back and told me to watch it, but of course, I wasn't going to let him get away with that, I didn't really care about what he said so I went up in his face and yelled at him and yelled in his face that if he ever says another word about her I would shove my foot up his ass and make sure he wouldn't be able to walk anymore. Then I told him that the girl would never get with a man whore like him and then I spit directly in his face. But with my luck, Mrs.Moore saw this and dragged me out of the classroom saying that that was "unacceptable behavior" and that she was going to call Mrs.Dwyer. And I was still mad so I wasn't thinking and then I said that I don't give a damn but she heard it with her stupid hearing and said that she was also going to tell Mrs.Dwyer that too. So then a couple minutes later Mrs.Dwyer came stomping her mad ass down the hall and dragged me back here to you." I say.

"Tobin you can't just go around doing stuff like this. That was dumb." She says.

"Well, he had it coming. It's his fault he decided to talk crap." I say in defense.

"Tobin but this is school! That's unacceptable and that was very dumb to do no matter what he said!" She said growing angry. Seriously, why is she getting upset?

"Well thank you for the obvious, it I really don't mind getting In trouble. I know you're new here but you'll be seeing a lot of me, Even Mrs.Dwyer said that."

" Tobin no! It's only the 2nd month of school yet here you are in my office getting in trouble!"

"I DON'T CARE!" I scream. I really didn't mean to, but it's hard to control sometimes.

Now we started to get into a screaming match. Good thing it's hard to hear through those doors.

"WELL I DO TOBIN! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?!?" She screams back.

"Stop faking! Nobody ever fucking cares about me! The only person who's ever been there for me is Hope, the rest of the people came and went! IT'S JUST YOUR FUCKING JOB TO SAY THAT." I scream a little bit softer but getting loud at the end.

"Is that what you think? Seriously after everything we've done, you think I'm doing this because it's my job?" She asks in disbelief.

"No, I, uh, I didn't mean it like that." I say starting to regret yelling back.

"Tobin I really care about you yet here you are saying that I'm faking! Why don't you believe me when I say that I care about you?!?" She raises her voice again.

"BECAUSE NOBODY EVER CARES ABOUT ME! THE ONLY PERSON WHO WAS EVER REALLY STAYED WAS HOPE! The rest just to pretend and they say all these damn lies. They lie straight to my face and you can do it too Alex. I feel I can trust you but it's hard when I have trust issues."

"Tobin stop saying that! You know I would never hurt you like that. I know I can be a monster or whatever you want to call me. And I'm sorry if I made you feel like you can't trust me. I'm
Sorry-" I can tell she's going to ramble but I also see tears start to form in her eyes.

'Tobin look what you've done. You need to fix this before it ruins your relationship with her.'

I completely zone out because I know she'll be rambling for a while. I need to fix this, but how?

I look at her to still find her rambling of course but something catches my eye.

She has such soft lips. I still remember how they felt on my cheek... But how would her soft pink lips feel on mine?

Should I...kiss her? I mean, I know she has a crush on me. Even Hope said she's noticed it so maybe it's not such a bad idea.

But she could also freak out. I mean, we were literally yelling at eachother just a couple minutes ago.

Do I kiss the soft pink lips I've been waiting to kiss and deal with my consequences... If there is any?

Or do I play it safe and don't but still deal with her being pissed at me?

Oh who am I kidding, I never play it safe, screw it.

I get up from my chair and walk around the desk and go right in front of her. She's still rambling about how sorry she is and I can't take it Anymore.

I suddenly grab her arm and pull her up out of her chair and look at her lips then back at her eyes. She stops talking and does the same thing as me, she looks at my lips then back into my eyes.

Even with tears in her eyes, she's still beautiful. Just do it. Do it now before it's too late.

I take one last breath and smash our lips together.

I was right, her lips are soft and all I can feel is fireworks.

I so hope she doesn't freak out cause I want to do this more often.
