Chapter 26

Tobins POV

Next day, 3:30pm

Right now, Hope, and Ashlyn, and I are heading up the beach to start setting up. I decided to take Alex up to a private part of the beach that Hope and I found out about a few years ago when we were chilling here about to go surfing. We decided to go here instead of the hills because this place was actually pretty private. Everybody always stays with the big crowds of people so it leaves this side pretty empty which is exactly what I wanted.

Thankfully, it was not windy here so setting up should take barely any time. I'm going pretty simple, but it still is going to look good.

We started walking down the beach until we got far enough so people couldn't really see us. It was about a 7 minute walk and this part of the beach looked perfect. I started planning it in my head.

There was a little rocky hill that led to a big patch of grass and I thought that would be the perfect place to put it. The hill wasn't steep and the rocks weren't that jagged so it was easy to climb.

We placed down the blanket and put a couple of heavy but smooth rocks on the edges so the blanket wouldn't move just in case it did get windy. Next, I put some seashells on one side of the blanket for a little bit of decorations.

I know it sounds silly but it actually ended up looking pretty neat. Now all I had to do was buy Alex some flowers, get the picnic basket, get dressed, and pick her up.

I got it all figured out.

Time Skip to getting ready.

After looking thorough a ton of outfits and getting help from Hope and Ashlyn , I finally decided on what to wear.

Since we were going to the beach and we were going to go swimming, I decided on white and grey plaid cargo shorts, a grey t-shirt, and grey sandals.

It wasn't anything fancy but I told Alex that we should dress comfy and casual so that's exactly what I did.

I brushed my hair and decided to leave it down because it looks better that way than putting it up in a ponytail. Plus I'm lazy so leaving it down was easier.

Right now, it was 4:45 and I still had a couple of minutes before I had to go and pick up Alex so I decided to get all the stuff and head to the car already.

Before I left, I made sure that all of the stuff Ash and Hope had to set up was ready so all they had to do was set it up In the guest room and then be off and do whatever they wanted.

Hope wasn't there and when I asked Ash, she just said Hope was out doing something and she'd be back in time to set up.

I sure hope she would be back if not, my surprise would be ruined.

I grabbed the picnic basket, my keys, Alex's flowers, and my wallet (just is case), and headed out of the door.

I took my phone out of my pocket and texted Alex to make sure she knew I was on my way.

Me: Hey lex, I'm on my way now. Be there in 5.

Lex: Can't wait ;) drive safely
