Can this be?

Chapter 5

Sorry this chapter is kind of short, read end of chapter for more notes.
Tobins POV

I leave the classroom and walk to the cafeteria by myself. At this point I was smiling like an idiot. 'Should I tell Hope? What's my surprise going to be?' 'I think she likes me, well, of corse she does, who doesn't? I'm pretty hot if I do say so myself haha.' ' But should I tell Hope?' All these thoughts race through my mind but then I actually think about what I'm thinking. Why would I tell Hope about her? It's not like I actually like Ms.Morgan in that way... Or do I? Wait of course not! She's just this woman I met today who has really beautiful eyes, beautiful flowing hair, a mesmerizing smile, raspy voice, and laugh... Ok. Maybe I might have a sliiiight crush on her but these things happen, I'll get over it in no time.

I get in line to grab some lunch and then I look for Hope. I find her sitting at our usual table, but I also see some blonde girl sitting across from her. I don't call this blonde girl a chick cause she looks like she'll beat the living hell out of anyone at any second. I sit down right next to hope with the girl sitting across from me and Hope now. Hope doesn't notice until the Girl looks straight at me and gives Hope the "An unknown person is right next to you" look.

"You better get your ass up if not I'll-" Hope starts without realizing its me.

"If not you'll what? Try something, I dare you." I say and immediately she looks at me and feels embarrassed. I just laugh at her.

"Oh, sorry tobs I thought you were some nerd or something. By the way, this is Ashlyn, the badass who I told you about." When she says this, I'm guessing that Ashlyn is pretty cool since Hope likes her so I introduce myself.

"Hey, I'm Tobin, Tobin Heath. From what hope told me and obviously since you're sitting here, you're the new badass in town." I smirk causing her to chuckle.

"Well, I guess I am. I'm Ashlyn, Ashlyn Harris." She says with a smile and extends her hand for me to shake. I think I'm gonna like Ashlyn, she's a pretty cool person.

"Well Ashlyn, I think I'm gonna like you. Welcome to the group dude." We sit there and talk about ourselves until it's time to head back to class. I found out a lot about her. She likes to surf, has lived around here for a while now, and lives by herself. We didn't go much into detail about this but she doesn't have a good relationship with her family, I guess we have a lot more in common than I thought. I bet she'll be with us for a while, I don't mind letting her into the group, she's pretty cool, plus I feel like I can trust her so as long as she's willing to open up about her situation, I'll open up about mine.

Side note:
Hey guys! Sorry for a short chapter but I only did this to keep the story sort of organized. Tomorrows chapter will be like 3x longer than this one and I'll update sooner than normal so y'all can see what happens :).
