Tobins POV

Right now, we were on our way to my apartment. To say that I was nervous would be an understatement, I had butterflies, my palms were sweating, and I was breathing heavy.

I don't even know why I'm getting so nervous. It's not like I'm afraid of being rejected....

That's a lie. If I got rejected, my whole heart would shatter into pieces.

What if she realizes I'm not worth it?

What if she thinks I'm obsessed with her?

What if she gets uncomfortable?

What if things go too far for her and I scare her off?

All of these nervous thoughts run through my head but are cut short as I realize we're at my complex.

I park in my normal parking spot and look straight forward.

I can see Alex looking at me with a confused expression then it turns into a frown.

"Toby... You ok?" She asks worriedly.

"Y-y-yeah.. N-Never better." I stutter and look at her smiling nervously.

She still looks at me with a confused look then looks down in saddens.

"Toby... Do you actually want me to be here? Cause it seems either you don't want me to be here or you're hiding something from me." She says looking into my eyes and I immediately regret saying what I said.

"Lex of course I want you to be here with me. And I'm not hiding anything... Technically... I'm just nervous. Now I need you to get out and come with me." I say kissing her on the head and giving her a reassuring smile.

She agrees and we both hop out the car and go to my door.

Before entering I say one last thing before letting her enter.

"Ok, so before we go in, I just wanted to remind you that you're a really special person to me and I hope you don't freak out by what I set up, but remember that I like you... Like a lot... And I hope you really enjoy tonight. Also I need you to cover your eyes again." I say giving her my signature smile.

"Toby, as long as it's not like some sex dungeon, I'm fine with it." She says causing us both to laugh.

She covers her eyes and I take a deep breath before bringing her inside.

The room is dark and I can see the candles lit from back here.

I close and lock the door behind us and lead her down the hall to the room.

Slowly, I open the door revealing the candlelit room with dim lights, a heart in the middle, her giant teddy bear, along with a chocolate box with a rose attached to it laying on the pillow.

'I soooo have to freakin thank them for this later.' I say to myself and finally get the courage to tell Alex to uncover her eyes.

"Alright, you can uncover them." I say and she uncovers her eyes and stands again in shock at the scene in front of her.

I see her eyes start to tear up as I grab the chocolate box and giant teddy bear from the bed and handing them to her.

"Happy first date. I hope you like what I did." I say smiling at her agin.

She nods and puts the gifts on the floor and hopping up into my arms pulling me into a kiss.

"Of course silly." She says laughing as we pull away.
