Chapter 8

Hey guys! Sorry for the wait, but here's a new chapter for y'all.

Alex's POV

Right now it's my lunch break and I'm free to go wherever I want as long as I'm back by 1:45. I told Tobin I was going to get her a reward and honestly I didn't know what to get. I could get her a piece of candy, but seriously, that's pretty lame.

I get to the store and look around but I find nothing, candy? Too lame. Toys? Too old for that. Note books or pencils? Not even a reward.

I've been looking around the store for about 15 minutes and I can't find a single thing, plus I only have until 1:45 and right now it's 1:10 so I decide why not take her out for lunch. I won't get In trouble for it plus, I could get to know more about her so it's a win-win situation. I leave the grocery store and people look at me crazily cause I've been in there for a while and left with nothing.

I had about 15 minutes before I have to head back to school so I decide to go to the closest fast food place which ended up being Taco Bell.

When I get to school we finish up the intros with all of the classes and I'm left with nothing to do so I decide to set up mine and Tobins lunch "date". Technically it's not a date cause I'm not asking her out, I'm just, taking her out. I decide to make a little invitation and decorate it a little bit because I really don't have to do anything besides a little bit of paper work.

I finish up the invitation a put it in a little envelope and tape a $10 Starbucks card that I didn't think I was ever going to use because I've had it for a while now. I decided to take her to my favorite Italian place called Antie Pasto at 2pm on Saturday. I just hope she's not busy or anything cause I really want to get to know her and see if maybe we could get somewhere... Shit, SHES A STUDENT ALEX! This is nothing but a friendly lunch, nothing more.
But I like her. And she might like me. And nobody really has to know. But at the same time, what about her parents? Oh crap, what about her parents! They might think I'm weird for taking a student out for lunch! This will look back on my part and-. I'm snapped out of my thoughts by the bell, I'm not sure if I should go through with this.

I've been waiting in my office for about 10 minutes now and I think Tobin has completely forgot about this. 'I knew she would most likely forget'. I sigh and get my stuff ready to go home. I don't have to stay after school today since it's my first day on the job, so I put all of my stuff into my purse and then I look at the invitation with the Starbucks card on it. I put it into my desk in hopes that tomorrow maybe Tobin will come by tomorrow. As I look around my barely decorated room one more time I hear a knock at the door and I sigh putting my stuff down and going to the door. When I get there in surprised to see Tobin standing there with all of her stuff and I can't help but stare. Even when she's probably exhausted, she looks perfect.

"Hey Ms.Morgan, you told me to come by after school?" She says and I immediately snap out of my thoughts.

"Yes, come on in! I have your reward in my desk." I say as I motion for her to come in. I start walking to my desk and I hear the door close and footsteps right behind me. Before I get to my desk I her a loud thud followed by her saying "Ouch! Damn it!" I turn around and I see her on the ground and her books and papers scattered all over the floor. I immediately feel guilty because she probably tripped over the rug so I go over and help her pick up all her papers and help her up.

"Oh my gosh Tobin, I'm so so sorry that happened to you, I should've made sure that the rug was fully down cause that could've been a lot worse if you would've flew foward and-" at this point, I start to ramble cause I feel terrible and I honestly didn't mean for her to fall and I felt like it was my fault. Then am cut off by her.
