Chapter 40

Alex's POV

After finally getting done at the Waffle House and paying for our bill, it was finally time to go on the road trip to Kelleys cabin.

We decided to take mine and Kelleys car because they were the most spacious and we could get everything in our cars.

We all decided it would be pretty awesome to spend Christmas together at Kelleys cabin so Kelley and I agreed. This was gonna be one of the best Christmas' I have ever had and I couldn't wait to spend it with these goobers.

Tobin and I were sharing the car with Ali and Ash in the back so Kelley and Hope got their own car with the luggage in the backseat.

I don't know how everyone else hid their gifts, but I had a secret compartment in my trunk so hopefully nobody goes digging in there.

Right now we have been in the car for about half and hour and Ash and Ali were passed out with Ali's head on Ashlyns shoulder, it was kind of cute actually.

Tobin kept starring at me with a goofy smile on her face and every once and a while I would look at her and she would just smile more.

"What are you starting at?" I finally ask.

"You." She simply states and I blush.

"Why are you staring at me?" I ask and she chuckles.

"Well, for starters, you're beautiful. You're like a statue, or a painting and I can't seem to take my eyes off of you. And when you blush, I feel this sort of rush of confidence run through me knowing that I caused it. Secondly, I'm trying to think... Think of all the reasons why you chose me. You could have anyone that you desired, any one would be lucky and honored to have you, yet you choose me. Even after the thing with my dad, you're here, with me, and I'm trying to think why." She says and I quickly glance at her seeing that she was serious and it made me blush even more.

I take one hand off the steering wheel and pick hers up intertwining our fingers together and bringing it up to my lips so I could kiss her hand.

"The reason why I'm here with you, is because I really really really like you. You are my world, the light in my darkness, and I can't seem to get enough of you either. Your eyes, your a million dollar smile, your playfulness, your chillness, your mango tasting lips, your amazing body, your personality, and the list can go on. I don't think I ever want to leave you and it's kind of scary how fast I've fallen for you honestly." I say stealing a glance at her.

"That was the nicest thing I have ever heard, you know I'm not good with sharing feelings, but words can't express how much... I... H-how much I.... I r-r-really l-like you. And when I thought I lost you, my word completely crumbled before me and I didn't think that I could ever be the same anymore. But I'm truly blessed and honored to have such an amazing and forgiving and beautiful girlfriend like you." She says leaning over and pecking my cheek.

I can tell she was trying to say something else, but I didn't want to pressure her, cause that was still the cutest thing I have ever heard.

"You're too cute sometimes. You have no idea-" I start but am cut off by ash.

"And you have no idea how much you two should shut up and let some people sleep. Like damn, it's cute but I wanna sleep no offense. So shush please." Ash says yawning and I see Tobin glare at her then gasps leaning over whispering a plan into my ears.

I'm a little reluctant at first but then she gives me the puppy dog eyes and I can't resist, so with a sigh, I agree to her evil plan.

She counts to three and as soon as I see her mouth the word three, she turns the volume a little bit and I start singing quietly but loud enough to wake Ashlyn up.  (Hello by Adele is playing just and FYI)
