Chapter 23

*Time skip to Friday*

Tobins POV

These last couple days have actually been really something.

I felt really bad for making Alex cry that day, but at the end of the day, she opened up a bit, and sadly, but good for her, she beat me, Hope, and Ash in monopoly deal the first round, but I ended up winning the second then we all fell asleep in her apartment cause that was exhausting.

Tomorrow was mine and Alex's date and honestly I couldn't wait.

I wanted to make this date memorable, it's disappointing that I can't actually take her out in public, but I had Ashlyn and Hope come up with a plan to make our night special.

I'm planning for us to go up my favorite hill and have a picnic up there while watching the sunset, then head down to the beach, then come back to my apartment but Alex will be met with a little surprise.

I really Hope she's not overwhelmed by it, but I just want her to know that she means something to me. A lot actually, over the time I've known her, all I've felt was complete happiness, and I would literally do anything for her as long as she's happy.

School was almost over and I was spending the day with Alex again in her office.

It's sad that after this week is over, I'll only be able to see her after school, but I've had a lot of fun over this week.

But she told me next time if I do something stupid just to come back and be with her, she's not gonna take it as kindly. So I'm gonna stick to only getting in trouble if it's absolutely necessary.

Today, me and Alex were planning to hang out at her apartment again for a little bit and probably watch a movie or two and just chill before I head back to my apartment.

But I could tell that something was on her mind, I just couldn't exactly tell what it was. But it was bothering her and I could tell no matter how hard she tried to hide it.

I just hope she wasn't planning to break off whatever we had.

I mean I know this was really risky what we are doing, but we're both willing to take that risk because we obviously have strong feelings for each other and plus I've already told her that even if she tried to deny what we have, I would never stop fighting for her.

Right now we were getting in our separate cars getting ready to go to Alex's apartment.

Usually I would just ride with her to school, but today since I was planning on going to my apartment after, I decided to take my car too.

Something was really off with Alex today, especially when she came back from lunch today.

I should ask her about that.

Finally, we were at Alex's apartment.

I got out of my car and walked over to her car and we walked up to her apartment.

The whole time we were walking, I noticed that she was looking down at the ground the whole time. Something was really up and it was bothering her.

We soon make it down to Alex's room and she unlocks the door and I plop down on the couch and she sits right next to me. She leans her head on my shoulder and I kiss her forehead and decide to ask her what's wrong.

"Alex, what's bothering you today?" I ask her quietly making sure to not upset her.

"Tobin... I'm ready to open up." She says as she looks up at me.
