Chapter twelve: strawberry cake

Everyone was excited about the games but, Zeref was trying to find Mavis. Mira gave him some breakfast to eat. Pancakes. Which was Zeref's favorite.

He went to the table Natsu and his friends were at but, what paying close attention. He tripped his own feet. Trying to catch himself, his plate went right on top of Erza's, Smashing her strawberry cake she was eating peacefully.

Everyone turned quiet. Natsu had a look of fear as he stared at the red haired wizard. "What now?' He thought.

"I'm so sorry, Erza." He tried to apologize. He managed to look up at her. Her face red with anger.

"You... You destroyed my cake! Prepare to die!"

"What?" He said as she changed armor and swung a huge sword at him. He dodged it gracefully.

Her sword completely destroyed the table they were sitting up. Good was everywhere. Including... Including his pancakes.

He understood Erza's rage now. 'My pancakes...'

It was strange though. Everyone at the guild started fighting for the most craziest of reasons. The master just stood there like it was a normal everyday thing until he got up and started yelling at Natsu for destroying several tables.

"This is the third time I've bought tables these past two weeks! Stop destroying them all!"

Erza swung at the black wizard again. She almost hit him. He had to admit she can get quick scary even when she watched at the game. She was no where near as mad.

He decided then that he'd join the fun and find punishment from her destroying his pancakes.

He stands straight up and forms a black magic ball in his hand, "you destroyed my pancakes. I haven't had them in so many years. Prepare to atone for your sins."

Erza froze in her place. She sensed that the magic was powerful. Unlike anything she's ever felt. It was dark and evil.

He looked so calm like his spell was so easy. He didn't even have to call out his magic. He threw it at her just then. It was fast, she barely even dodged it. She watched as it bored a hole in the wall.

"Wow. That's impressive magic you got there."

Then master yells, "no! Not the wall too!" Master decided to end the bickering by turning huge. He went to smash the fire dragon slayer with his fist then Erza for starting the fight, then without thinking bis fist goes towards Zeref who he blames for ruining the guilds wall.

Zeref screamed as a dark black cloud started spinning around him stopped the master in his tracks. Natsu ran up to his brother, remembering that magic. If Zeref couldn't stop it, everyone was going to die.

"Kazuya! Please stop!" He watched as the dark Mage looked like he was in pain. Natsu walked into the cloud. It hurt but, his scarf was protecting him like before. He rests his hand on his brothers shoulder. He looked up at Natsu, his eyes red. "Zeref.... Please." He whispered.

The cloud disappeared and his brothers eyes were back to normal. Natsu falls to his knees and passes out, along with Zeref. Stopping the curse took a lot out of him but, he smiled knowing it can be.

'That magic. I've seen it before on tenroe island.' Grey was thinking about the memories there, 'Zeref...'

"Is grey okay?" Juvis asks the ice wizard.

"Zeref..." He whispers.

"I remember him too. When his eyes turned red, I knew it was him. He killed that God slayer who was in grimoire hearts." Juvia shivered from the memory.
