Chapter Thirty Five: E.N.D

Invel was a tough wizard. Grey and Lyon rushed at him.

"I've make dragon!" Lyon yelled.

"Ice devil slayer make spiked hammer!" Grey said.

Lyon's face was shocked. He didn't that grey was a demon slayer. Invel looked surprised as well.

He blocked Lyons attack but, Grey attack was too much. Invel's ice shatters. Leaving him open. Grey slashes at him with his ice sword. Cutting the wizard in half.

Then a dark energy forms around the whole city. Grey knew what that meant. It was time for the final battle. Between Natsu or E.N.D  and the black wizard Zeref.

Grey knew what he had to do if the demon inside Natsu was awakened. He had to kill him. His friend... Grey thinks of the pink haired idiots smile and all his stupid moments. The times they had. The job they did. He still couldn't believe that Natsu was a demon.

"Fire dragon roar!" Natsu shoots a bursts of flames at his brother. He knew it wouldn't work. He just wanted to test him.

The attack was blocked.

Natsu smiles wickedly, "try this! Cursed fire column!"

It swirls around Zeref but he just simply brushes it away, "is that all you can do?"

Natsu started to feel fear. His cursed magic wasn't any match for Zeref. 'Do I really have to turn into E.N.D to do this?' The thought frightened him. He looked at Lucy. She was scared too but for a different reason.

"Cursed fire infestation!" Natsu exclaimed.

Zeref concentrated on the curse forming around him but, then realized Natsu was gone from where he was.

Natsu comes up from behind the dark mage and punches him as hard as he could in the face.

Zeref falls but, then his eyes snap open. He regains his footing and stand up straight, "almost had me there but, it still wasn't enough."

Then Natsu noticed the curse he used focusing on Lucy.

"Natsu!"

"Lucy!"

The curse magic touches her. Burning her. It consumes her whole body then. Zeref then does a spell to back up time but, it didn't get rid of the damage it did. She laid on the ground in pain.

He runs over to her, "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to."

"I know. Don't worry. I'll be okay." She grabs his hand and it gives him hope.

He didn't want to let go but, he had to finish this.

He hears Wendy's voice, "I'll help Lucy!"

Natsu smiles at her, "thank goodness your here."

Wendy was about to start till she was hit with black magic. Knocking her out.

"What the hell was that for?!" Natsu was pissed.

"You need more incentive to fight me."

Lucy is sitting on the ground to regain any energy that's left in her to keep fighting. She watches as Natsu battles the dark wizard Zeref. Natsu was breathing hard. His body covered in cuts and bruises, where Zeref was completely unscratched.

How could he be so strong? Lucy believed in Natsu to finish him.

Zeref stood there watching him, smiling with his hands in his pockets.
