Chapter Eight: Questions and Answers

Levi sat in the guild hall with Gajeel. She squeezed tight on his hand and he looked over at her.

"Something wrong?"

She looks up at the iron dragon slayer, "no... Well, just worried about Natsu. I hope nothing happened to him... Lucy is really upset."

"I'm sure he's fine. He's Natsu remember? He's a crazy son of a bitch that's for sure."

That made her smile, "you're right."

Lucy comes up to the two. She looked like she hadn't slept good in days. "Hey guys, I was wondering if you both would be will to help find Natsu. You could probably smell him out right Gajeel?"

"Yeah, I could that." He looks at what she's clutching in her hand. It was a part of Natsu's scarf. He felt bad for her.

"Levi....?"

"What is it?"

"I.... Was wondering about you guys going to the library that day... Why?"

"I'm not totally sure why. Natsu wanted to read up on Zeref and E.N.D. We didn't find much except...."

"Except....?"

"Zeref's last name...." She whispered to herself but Gajeel heard.

"I'm just talking crazy. I'm sorry Lucy but, he's probably somewhere."

"I'm just so scared. There was ash everywhere and then his scarf.... This is so unlike him...."

Gajeel stands up "well, let's go find him. I'm sick of sitting here doing nothing."

Levi gets up and hugs her best friend. They stayed there in a long embrace before leaving to search Mongolia.

The three asked around with no luck. They reached the farther part of mognolia and asked around there.

They went inside a popular bar, went up to the table and sat down. They all ordered just a water.

"Hey, excuse me sir..." Lucy said.

The bartender turned, "need anything else?"

"I was wondering if you've seen a pink haired guy? He's a fire wizard. Name is Natsu."

The bartender laughs, "that guy is a really good time!"

"Who've seen him?!" Lucy stands up excitedly.

"Yeah, he was here last night. Showing us a bunk of his fire magic. He drank a lot too. I hope they both made it home okay."

"Both?" Gajeel asks.

"Yeah, him and his brother."

"Brother?!" They all screamed.

"Yeah, they both were really fun to hang out with. I hope they come back again. Those two gave us a bunch of business. Everyone enjoyed their magic. When they combined it, now that was something." He smiles.

"We must be talking about the wrong person. He doesn't have a brother." Lucy says.

"Natsu Dragneel. That's what his name was. Said he was a dragon slayer."

Levi remembered the book about Zeref. 'Zeref Dragneel... Had a younger brother who died. Natsu had that book with his last name on it. The same as Zeref. Zeref and Natsu Dragneel....' Levi lost the color in her face. 'No way...'

"Hey, you alright Levi?" Lucy asked her friend, concerned.

"Yeah, I feel a little sick though..."

"Well, let's get you back to the apartment then..."

She only nods. 'Has Natsu betrayed us?' She wonders.
